Amen.

I don't get the point of what this thread was supposed to be, of course, but I'm a conservative who thinks the goverment has no business policing what occurs between adults in the privacy of their households, so long as minor children are absolutely not involved. I'd just as soon see tax laws changed to define households as two adults who comingle their finances and cohabit with or without dependants, whether they are gay, simply unmarried, mother and adult child, or someone's old maiden aunts, whatever.

I'm a fiscal conservative, and I believe that wanting the government out of family life is being a social conservative, too. I wish people would stop going on witchhunts. If you don't want to hang out with obnoxious gay activists, they seem quite easy to avoid. Most gay people I've known live normal, quiet, lives, and vote Republican. Come to put *them* in camps, and I will have to stand with them, because that's not what America is.

So put me down as someone who thinks that getting government out of the marriage licensing business altogether is a better idea than just extending the current definition. Let marriage be a matter of property law and religion, as it should be. Why should the state have any say in it at all?

You are either lying, or you know VERY unusal homosexuals. And please answer truthfully: Are you aware that homosexuals are much more prone to molest young people than heterosexuals? Yes or no?
