Yes, not only getting a weapon in, using it, but also apparently getting out and getting away, as well.

This would appear to be a major breakdown in security, especially after new measures since 9-11.

I wonder if the shooter came in with the Councilman or another Council member. The public go through metal detectors, but the Council members may not have to.

The more people you put in a confined space the more wack jobs you get. You will never be safe from loonies. NEVER unless you lock yourself up.

Given that, I would strongly suggest you (not you in particular) move or take measures to protect yourself.

One of the facts of life is that strict security only works to keep those who are not determined to get a weapon past the security.
