The U.S. is weighing whether to publish and distribute photographs of the bullet-riddled corpses of Uday and Qusay Hussein in a bid to convince Arab news outlets and the Iraqi people that Saddam's two killer sons are indeed dead.
"That's going to be a major concern for us," said Paul Bremer, U.S. administrator in Iraq, according to Fox News Channel's Bret Baier. "It has not been determined whether pictures will come forward, but it is on the table."
Baier, who revealed Bremer's comments Wednesday morning to WABC Radio's Curtis & Kuby, said the Hussein brothers were identified through dental records, fingerprints and through eye witnesses, one of whom was Saddam's most trusted bodyguard who is now being held captive by coalition forces.
Baier said Central Command now believes that the $50 million discovered in the house where Uday and Qusay were killed may have been used to pay local mercenaries to attack U.S. troops.

I was actually getting worried about where we would get the money to pay the reward for finding the two sons. Well there you go. And $20 mil. left to pay for reconstruction. I'd say it a fitting use for their blood money.

50 mil? Anybody wanna take a guess on where that 30 mil is gonna come from to pay that Iraqi informant?
Ahh...the irony of paying for your own execution....couldn't happen to a nicer bunch of thugs, rapists and murderers...or to use Charlie Rangels words of infinite wisdom....bums.

I think they should. This is a different culture, they have a different perception of such things. On Fox I saw a man who said he wouldn't believe it until it was proved to him. The Arabs traditionally accept lying in their media. So physical proof is necessary.

No wonder Paul Bremer was smiling on TV when he said he was looking forward to cutting the informant a check for $30 million!

The only way to convince the Iraqis and the Arab street is to prop up the bodies in a public square, let them take photos, etc. like they used to do with bandits, bank robbers, horse thieves, etc. in the days of the 'old west' in the US.

In this case they should do it. The Iraqi people seem to need a lot of convincing.

hate to be a wet blanket, but isn't this against the Geneva convention? I had the same immediate thought. I guess we need someone more versed in the legal aspects of the Convention to provide some answers.

As a U.S. tax-payer who helped subsidize the takedown, I won't be satisfied unless I get to see the results!!!

Isn't making autopsy photos available to the public perfectly legal?

DO IT!!Otherwise, there's sure to be part of the country that won't believe it, and will still fear them.
It doesn't need to be a "Moussolini" display, but this needs to be put out there for all Iraqis to see.

Give custody of the corpses to the Iraqi council. Let them do with them whatever they decide to do.
Avoids all US involvement.

Perhaps they should be sent to a good taxidermist then permanently be displayed at the museum at Fort Campbell, KY.

They ought to strap 'em both to the front of Humvees just like prize bucks on opening day and drive 'em around the streets of Baghdad like that.
