Why aren't Catholics as pissed about the sorry state of their Church as I am?

Probably because you're a self-righteous, pompous, splinter/beam kind of person :)

What percent of priests would you say abused children? Did you know that it's about 2%, same as the general population? Did you know that the seminaries were cleaned up significantly in the late 80s / early 90s and that almost all the accused priests were from before that time? Did you know that during child abuse hysterias many imagined or maliciously motivated claims of abuse are made? Do you want to throw the unjustly accused into jail for life as well?

I'm not a bit pompous. I just have a serious problem with allowing any organized group of people of any religion to terrorize/abuse children and then try to cover the scandals up all the way to the top of the chain of command. The bastards are abusing mostly Catholic children, whom ought to be protected; I don't care WHAT the perverts do to you.
Christ said "...suffer the little children to come unto me..." - I guess to be abused by the clergy and then ignored by people like you, who view the power structure as more important.
Serious physical and sexual abuse of children should be a capitol offense, religion be damned.
