General from 101st
LAst night we recieved intel that former members of Iraqi regime were in house.
Op started at 10 o'clock.
Took direct fire and then escalated force. Took small arms fire and could not reach out and touch so called in heavier weapons.

Dave, you can check my posts, but I've said for a couple of months that we have collected an irrefutable amount of proof on the WMDs, and for a number of reasons (not political, I don't think) we haven't released it yet. When the Pres. is sure that there are no "uranium" snafus in the docs, he'll release it in a data dump that will have the Dems looking for cyanide.
I think also we soon will get Saddam. I think we got Osama, and he's "Tora Bora Flora."

More bad news for the Opecker Thugs/Princes, the leftwing maggots and of course the gloomer and doomers who infect Free Republic.
The Saudis and Iranian murdering Mullahs must be having a really rough time with the price of oil and what may have happened to $oddomite's spawn.

And the cry of "Airborne All the Way!" sounds better in the original Klingon, anyway :o)Perhaps to you, but, a sound akin to a platoon of paratroopers gargling just doesn't strike me the same way...

Great scoop by FOX News. Their reporter Steve Centanni is the only media guy on the scene. His interview with the general was great.

He sounds like my type of General!

It doesn't matter who killed them; the "dead-enders" in both Iraq and the US will spin this as "martyrs". Nazi Germany reported Hitler's suicide as a "heroic" last stand against the Russians.

Fingers crossed it's them (although I'd rather they be put on public display for the Iraqi people to take a whack at them).

Four bodies found -- make the ID without DNA testing!
Tinfoil hat time - the Aces ALL had body doubles - maybe the real Husseins tipped the US to their location hoping to take the pressure off and allow their escape. If you're "dead" not many people will be looking for you. At least one high muckrty-muck tried this already - forget his name.
Me - I want DNA verification. Also I hope any we ensure that when we find the big guy - that we find him dead. We don' need no steeenkin trials!

They should put their bodies in ice cream trucks and tour the countryside giving away ice cream and showing the frozen chosen ones.

I think the bodyguard killed the other three, and then himself. I know that we would like to think that the body guard was more loyal to the regime than were Saddam's sons. I doubt if that is true. The body guard would not have a lot to fear if captured. No more than Hitler's body guards had to fear. It is my experience that body guards all want to live.
There is an old saying that no man is a hero to his valet. It can also be said that no despot is a hero to his body guard.
If a body guard is smart enough to be a body guard,he knows that if captured in a lost war, all he has to do is turn states evidence to walk. A body guard has been everywhere and heard everything and has had no responsibility for anything. He has knowledge without guilt. He can end up with a great life if he gives up and then talks. He will be rewarded with millions. If he was smart enough to be a body guard he knew that.
Men who actually know the leaders never become their suicide bombers.

Whack-a-mole, Iraq style?
I sure hope we nailed them this time.
