MSNBC: Alleged (Kobe Byrant) Victim seen bragging at a party 3 days later

I just saw it on MSNBC. They said she was at a party a week ago, 3 days before Kobe was charged.

They said she was drinking (consumption by a minor) and playing cards, and was bragging about.....(MSNBC took out the audio at the end of sentence)

The story was confirmed by 5 people at separate places and times who were at the party and all gave a similar account of what happened.

When asked how the girl looked, the guy interviewed said she looked happy. Everyone was shocked to see her at the party given the incident.

I think someone may have even asked how hung was Kobe upon which she described with hand gestures. She seemed to be bragging according to a friend, but said she couldn't tell them what happened that night.

This just keeps getting better and better...

Those comments were to debunk the myth posted on an earlier reply that she was the "girl next door type." I have seen pictures, and believe me, she has the look of a party girl. That doesn't mean she could not have been assaulted. I am just trying to dispute some of the comments being posted that are obviously wrong.

lol Good point. I learned in High School how to make it very obvious I'm not interested no matter what I'm wearing. Give a man the right look and they usually get the point really quick. I also have always had a policy of not being alone with any man I don't totally trust to act appropriately. I don't understand women who don't have atleast that much common sense. In high school I had more male friends than female friends so I know exactly how men think and learned early on what makes them tick. Maybe it's why I've never been a victim of date rape or any other type of rape. I have been "agressively" hit on before in public (inappropriate touching/grabbing) and never had a problem saying the right thing to let the idiot know he had better get his hands off or he might walk funny for a few hours. It's usually just a matter of what they think they can get away with and if you let them know really quick they can't get away with it with you they almost always back off. If all else fails, there is always the pepper spray on your keychain as a last resort (which I've never had to resort to.) Most Gen X girls I've known learned this stuff before they were 20.

I would also make any police officer, prosecutor, judge, etc. who knowingly allowed an unsupportable prosecution to go forward similarly responsible.

Ahh.. thank you. Someone gets it. You know how many times I have seen someone say.. "but the prosecutor must have some solid evidence, b/c he went forward with the charges. So Kobe must have done it."

I keep asking: "Has a prosecutor never pursued a case on flimsy evidence?"

People keep forgetting that prosecutors could have unpure motives, just as the alleged victim, the accused, the reporter, the "friend" or any other human connected to the story may have. Yet so many simply accept that the prosecutor is pure in motive, precise in judgement and flawless in making a decision about whether to pursue a case or not.

I have no idea what happened and all the stories aren't changing my mind much. I knew they would come and I knew that they may or may not be true.

The stories aren't changing many minds either from what I see. They simply bolster a preconceived opinion based on existing bias or they get ignored or explained away. Those whose bias is strengthened simply get louder when their theory is supported, or explain quietly when the story seems to hurt their case.

It amazes me that more people do not intelligently admit that they don't know.
