I think children are naturally conservative. They know their toys, they like their toys and they don't want them stolen, broken or played with. Then they grow up and are told incessantly to be ashamed of their toys, give them to the poor, in the form of taxes. And they learn to lie and say their toys are everyone's toys. Just like dems except dems really want all our toys, every last one of them. And they would kill babies to take them.

The smug, arrogant attitude she applied while delivering those comments was disgusting.
Perhaps enough of this nasty attitude is just what the public needs to see who these people are. Firing her would only make her a martyr and besides it's better to have the enemy in plain sight, isn't it?

Thanks. I figured out years ago that if FReepers can't answer a question, then it doesn't have an answer.
Reason #682 why Free Republic is mind-bogglingly incredible :-)

...it's just too convenient that we waxed Uday and Qusay the same day that
Jessica Lynch came back to her hometown
Talk about a litmus-test scenario:
1. Democrats/liberals will be claiming that Dubya is the brilliant, most evil Machiavellian
puppet-master the worlk has ever known...and the coincidence of these
events is rock-solid proof (even if they claim Dubya's IQ doesn't reach 3 digits)
VS
2. Conservatives (rational human beings) who will look on this coincidence as either
a fun bit of synchronicity or the hand of G-d (the latter the way people
saw the hand of G-d when Jefferson and Adams both died on the same day -- the 50th
anniversary of the signing of The Declaration of Independence).
Myself, I go with choice #2...and will straddle the chance/hand-of-G-d scenarios...

Just got back on a few minutes ago - have I missed something that makes you think it's not Saddam's sons?Nothing concrete, just the White House saying it has no confirmation on anything (in a Bloomberg story)... Seems like they're backtracking, as they have with each other case... Almost seems like sabotage, where the President looks foolish (even though he doesn't make the claim)....

From another thread
breaking: Mahmud al Tikriti, an "ACE" previously captured and Presidential assistant, has identified bodies on the scene. ABC Radio News did not say 'identified as who?', but seemed like it is going to be what we all suspect....(four minutes ago.)

What a great analogy!
Well, all I can say to them is this: My toys are MY TOYS, keep your hands off or all of your non-violence attitude will be severly tested. :)

I'll take "Hand of God" for $500, Alex.

Fort Sill, 1996.
thanks for having served and being at Ft. Sill.
The rare round that found it's way over into the Wichita Mountains from Ft. Sill certainly did
increase the "dangerous adventure" aspect of hiking/climbing the Wichitas!

That would be the
companion thread that has Uday and Qusay as dead, not captured.

Oh heck, I'll probably move immediately into the "Hand of G-d" camp too if the
ID is positive that it's Saddam's bad boys that have reached room temp.

Thanks for the update and information. Will check in later. Perhaps the press is deliberately "overplaying" this story in the hopes that it proves to be false and thus reminds voters we haven't caught any of the biggest bad guys.
