The Clintons do have some shame. They didn't ask to be recompensed for their legal fees in connection with one of the scandals that bedeviled his eight-year administration, which was roughly co-extensive with investigations thereof. That one was L'Affaire Lewinsky. The former president agreed to handle his own costs in that case as part of the settlement/confession he reached with federal prosecutor Robert Ray.

This incident of last week also exposed the perfidy of CNN's reporting of the court's decision.

CNN lead with the statement that the Government had been "forced" to pay the Clintons $85,000! Talk about standing the truth on its head. Then toward the end of their upside down, inside-out report they managed to slip in the fact that over three million dollars of fees were, in turn, rejected by the court.

Years ago I ran across something that made the hairs stand up on the back of my neck..... When boy Bill was governor, one of his early girlfriends said he wanted to have sex with her during a party and only literally a few feet away from Hillary and the rest of the guests.

It was then that I realized he was/is probably addicted to the thrill of living on the edge - taunting authority and rules of decorum, and daring others to expose him.

I imagine the media knew much more about him then they ever let on.
