Pray for my Father-in-law

We just got word that my wife's father has been diagnosed with cancer of the liver and lungs. Pray for him, he is still unsaved.

May God hold you and your family close now, and heal your father-in-law, if that is His will. I was given less than a year to live in 1998 (lung cancer). Thanks to God, good doctors and a special diet, I'm still here and five year CT scan is clear. Praise God!

We will lift your father in law up in prayer, that his path may be made easy, whatever God's will for him, and that the Holy Spirit and Gospel may enlighten his mind and heart.

Remember that even though he may seem confused, a lot is getting through anyway. A friend of mine who was seemingly in a coma remembers a lot of what was going on around him while he was lying in that hospital bed. So continue on the assumption that he CAN hear and DOES understand. Witness gently but confidently. "Let not your heart be troubled" - ask for Christ's help, and let Him lead the way.

Pray for clarity so that he can hear the word.

The Spirit speaks in many ways to our inner man. I will be praying that the Spirit will be speaking to his spirit, and that your father-in-law will accept the gift of salvation.

Oh Lord, give this man a tender heart, that he may HEAR the Truth that is being told him, and act upon it positively.  May the plans of Satan be foiled in this mans life: may we hear it said to him - "Well done, good and faithful servant."
