I'm fed up with the Media and Democrats. If the GOP were to make a staement like "we're going to make life hell for them", the media along with their cadre of political cartoonists would draw fangs on that GOP representative. People would be made to fear him- perhaps their children were not even safe from this bloodthirsty madman. But when a Democrat does it, it's justified, perhaps even gutsy. When are people going to say "I've had it" with the media and demand some kind of accountibility from them?

"This will be a week from hell for the Republicans," said House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi. Does this mean there will be an actual fight on the floor of the House??
Where's the popcorn?

After President Bush signed the law, Democrats pushed for legislation expanding the child credit to families that pay too little income tax to take advantage of the bigger benefit. Exactly!

the payroll taxes are painful to all Isn't the payroll tax the Social Security tax? Wasn't it the Democrats who raised that on the low income and the retired?
Rather that a credit for something they don't pay, why not lower the tax they do pay?

Media management feels that they soiled themselves in support of Bush for too long. They feel that truth is like a game where score is kept. They are out to even the score, stir up the fecal caldron, boost ratings, and whip up the Democrat base just in time for election momentum. Truth be damned. The democrats need a bigger strike zone when the republicans are in charge.

Democrats pushed for legislation expanding the child credit to families that pay too little income tax to take advantage of the bigger benefit. This should read families that pay NO INCOME TAXES.
How Do You Get An Income Tax Break When You Pay No Income Taxes?
Call It What It Is:
WELFARE!!!
The sad thing is the spineless republicans will end up caving and expanding the welfare give-a-ways in this country.

Sorry!
I am now properly chastised.
