A new poll found that less than half of Americans believe the New York Times, still considered the so-called "newspaper of record" by many establishment media organizations, is a reliable purveyor of truth.
According to pollster Scott Rasmussen of Rasmussen Reports, just 46 percent of Americans feel the Times is "very reliable" or "somewhat reliable."
At the same time, nearly three-fourths of Americans (72 percent) believe Fox News Channel to be a credible media source.

I don't think any ping lists are worth it if all you get is excerpts. Can you split the list between articles and excerpts?

The rest of the article is in post #5. Sorry, but I think your complaint is with the increasing number of Freepers too lazy to post entire articles, not with me. Besides, usually in such cases someone else comes along, complains, and posts the article.
It's time for us to start naming and shaming those that refuse to post full articles, IMHO, not work around their sloth.
(Also, nobody else has asked for such a thing. I'd have one ping list with only you on it, and another with everyone else.)

Political party plays a role in the Times' reputation, the poll showed. Rasmussen says the newspaper is still popular among Democrats; 52 percent said the Times was reliable, compared to 45 percent of Republicans. ?!?!?!? Who the hell are these nit-wits?

LMAO! How true!

72% believe FoxNews is credible? We're in trouble. FoxNews is the "best" source on television, but it's far from credible. The truly "best" source are found right here on the web, where souls seeking truth weave their way through the propagandist cobwebs.

Most local papers only print what the NYTimes runs withExactly (although ours is liberally laced with the LA Times and WashPost sludge as well).
Some percentage, possibly a large one, of this 73% actually believe what the NY Times writes because they don't realize what they're reading in their local rag is from the NY Times. Ditto to a large extent on what appears on TV (even on Fox) since the broadcast media does little, if any, of their own newsgathering, er, I mean news manufacturing.
To: browardchad
Yes, people are unaware their local rag is basically filler with NYSlimes slanders in between.
But people probably 'trust' their local paper because it gets the weather mostly right.
I am deeply saddened that lies by Terry McAuliffe are repeated in this media report.

LOL
The NYT will run the following headline... "Almost 1/3 of Americans do not believe anything they see or hear on Fox News."

Sorry you think that I was lazy in not posting the entire article. Perhaps people who don't click on the provided URL are also lazy. When I started here the concern was to try to save bandwidth, so that's what I still practice. Maybe I won't bother any more, since I obviously violated the "posting police" unwritten law.
