When and where was history forgotten? What happened after the Civil War that placed the GOP behind the Party of the A$$ when it comes to the black vote?!A lot of Blacks did vote for republicans until the 60's.
Then came LBJ. The Dems got credit for the Civil Rights Act even though a higher percentage of Repubs voted for it. But LBJ was prez so the D's get all the credit.
Plus, when LBJ signed his Great Society legislation he is purported to have said "I'll keep them niggers voting Democrat for the next 50 years." LBJ was a lot of (bad) things, but dumb wasn't one of them.

How could blacks live with themselves after voting Republican just to get back at a bunch of guys who didn't RSVP? And please don't mention Condoleeza Rice. Bush had to hire her. She's the only black woman he's ever know who wasn't on a syrup bottle. What the heck is this dude's problem .. Good Grief

The group's leader, Kweisi Mfume, was outraged (because they didn't show up, not because his parents named him while smoking dope and playing Scrabble). The really sad thing is that Kweisi Mfume's parents didn't name him Kweisi Mfume. He was born and elected to the US Congress (four times!) with the name Frizell Gray.
He changed his name to Kweisi Mfume after he left Congress.

There weren't any Southern Republicans to speak of until after the 1964 Civil Rights Act passed and lynchings were no more.
It was REPUBLICANS who were responsible for the 15th Amendment in the first place.
For that matter, it was a former Republican Governor, appointed Chief Justice of SCOTUS, who handed down Brown v. Board of Education.
I don't know if this is the most hate-filled article I've ever seen, but it does show world-class ignorance and unfocused hostility.

Only conservative blacks can solve this DemocRAT problem now.

Was that a product of the Afrocentric movement of the late 80's???

What the heck is this dude's problem I don't know if it's his only problem, but one problem is he's just unbelievably ignorant. Anyone who thinks Kweisi Mfume got that name at his christening, or that Republicans were the party of lynchings, is simply unqualified to write political commentary.

There sure as heck were Republicans in the South - they were the ones getting lynched!I stand corrected...

Dims are the predominant political group who fights so hard to "keep the man down?"Several reasons: firstly, the Dems are out in the black community paying lip-service to blacks, along with black Dems who are out there fanning the flames of hatred of anyone who would step outside of that plantation.
Liberals go out of their way to patronize blacks and continually pat them on the head...("There, there, we'll feel sorry for you. You're too dumb for anything else..."), so-called black leaders have taken paranoia and tin-foilism and made it into an art-form ("The big, bad, evil white man hates us, does everything to keep us down; any black man who follows those 'evil white devils' has sold his soul to the devil and will be damned to hell for all eternity...").
Now, finally, the black vote is taken for granted by the Dems, and largely ignored (but much less so now) by the GOP, so we have come full circle.
But things are changing. At a snail's pace, I'll admit, but they are changing.
My never-ending battle continues...

There weren't any Southern Republicans to speak of until after the 1964 Civil Rights Act passed and lynchings were no more. There were Southern Republicans. Condoleeza Rice grew up in a Republican family. Southern Republicans regularly sent delegates to the Republican convention. The problem was, those Southern Republicans were African American, and didn't get to vote because of Jim Crow laws.

The answer to your question, FRiend, is not hard.
Socialism happened to the DNC. That creeping crud known as Marxism replaced the blood of the Demo's, bringing with it the memory loss which allowed them to ignore their Confederate heritage.
For everyone else, I read the entire screed provided us by our trueblack FRiend. I notice that this shill's listed as a Gannett copy editor. Therefore, this will be spread throughout the land, via USAToday, the Army/Navy/Airforce Times, several heartland rags, and who knows how else.
They have received The Word...

Well that was an interesting spew.
Al Sharpton is in an interesting role. I think Democrats are going to have to negotiate with him. If he throws the black vote to any primary candidate, that candidate is likely to win the primary.
Either somebody negotiates with him prior to the primary or it's going to get interesting.
The real question is will Rev Al negotiate only for himself or for black people in general?

This article has all the components to unmask Democrats' true intentions toward blacks:
-Unmasked condescension towards them: Lisa tells blacks can't vote Republican not because they freely decided not to, but because the Democrat plantation owners and house slaves told them not to do so.
-Contempt for black achievers: His hatred towards Condi tells much how he wants blacks to succeed... NOT!!!
-Daredevil lying: As argued in previous posts, Lisa says how Republicans are evil and Democrats are good towards blacks, when historically the opposite has been true.
My 2 cents.

Did you catch Reginald Jones on C-SPAN2 this morning, speaking at the Conservative Student Conference put on by Young America's Foundation?
Powerful.
I'd love to see Mr. Jones take on Mr./Ms. Lisa.
