Did Kobe ever deny having sex with the girl?Reading between the lines, Kobe had sex with her, period. If you listen to his camp, the sex was consentual. The obvious implication from the other side of the ball is that it wasn't consentual.
With Kobe on the visitor's side, his lawyer will receive the kickoff and we'll have to see how the rest of the first quarter weighs itself out.

Well, he had to admit that, seeing as thereis physical evidence of his penis having enterd her vagina. That's why you saw the lip-biting mea culpa after charges were announced. It would be a ridiculous defense strategy to say there was no sex, a la Clinton. The only issue here is whether the sex was consensual. She says no, he says yes.

That was speedy. Stupidity has its price...

Who claimed she was a beauty? (We're all a "10" when the lights are off!)Sorry... not true. Hellary with the lights out is still Hellary. Rosanne Barr, Barbra S., etc.
My point is still true and has nothing to do with his race. It has to do with his integrity. All good men (and a few bigots) strive for it, and some men fail.

While I do think that this fools ideas are repugnant, I also believe that we shouldn't remove them...let everyone see their idiocy...we are conservatives, we don't stifle someone's speech just because we disagree, that is for liberals.
Just my opinion.

I am certainly NOT defending Kobe, or anyone else in that position. I'm simply saying that there are two sides to this story and I doubt the general public will ever fully hear both sides.
(Note: I am not a Kobe fan, a Laker fan, or even a basketball fan...I'd rather spend that hour with my kids..they're more fun and don't whine nearly as much as professional atheletes.)

If I'm not mistaken, 1smallVoice was a rather long-standing FReeper. Now? Gone, without so much as an opus. No opus, just postal suicide. Tsk, tsk, tsk.

I agree. His press conference was a disaster for him even though the talking heads such as Macia Clark kept raving how well he did. (She also laughed about rape.)
I would like to know where are Martha Burke and the other feminists? I've yet to hear any words of outrage from them. Possibly I somehow missed them.
Amazing the praralles to Clinton & Condit.

As usual - LOVE YOUR STUFF!
Cheers! CC :)

No problem - I'd still be careful with touting "press reports" as a basis for opinion. They're all over the place with this, just like OJ and Lewinsky. We won't really know the truth, at least most of it, until the trail.

Why bother with a celebrity rape allegation when you can troll private golf courses looking for a cause, with the NY Times as your mouthpiece?
To: over3Owithabrain
Noted. I only used the 'press reporting' to illustrate the "two sides to every story" angle.
Love this forum...I wonder if the poor liberals (pardon my French) have anything this good?

Me thinks Kobe's agent is negotiating a contract with the Colorado Dept. of Corrections. Wants restrictions on "away games" lifted.

Interesting website- the cynic in me senses that Kobie has been a carefully constructed sports-entertainment-media creation in addition to heing a great basketball player:
