Partial transcription from a KRON-TV news report at 11:00 pm Saturday, July 19:
DAN KERMAN, KRON reporter (Voice-Over): Democrats have pledged that Davis will be the only Democrat on the ballot. But some think that plays right into the hands of Republicans. VAN JONES, "Police Watch" leftist activist: If the Democrats are going to stay stuck on stupid with Davis, who is a failed governor and hated by everybody, then they're asking the people of California to be in a suicide pact with them...
KERMAN (VO): That's why San Francisco activist Van Jones is pushing reformed Republican Arianna Huffington to run for the Democrats.
JONES: We need a progressive candidate on the ballot that people can vote for in case Governor Davis is turned out of office that can actually do good things for California. That's not Schwarzegger, that's Huffington.
KERMAN (On screen): So far, no word from Huffington, but it points to the fact that Democrats are not united. And that's something they need to be if they plan to keep a Democrat in the governor's office.
Earlier in this same report, footage of this totally unsupported statement by Nancy Pelosi was shown:
PELOSI: This is part of a national Republican agenda -- to achieve what they cannot win at the polls through other, other mischief.

The Huffingtons are one of the reasons that Republicans lost California in the first place.

PELOSI: This is part of a national Republican agenda -- to achieve what they cannot win at the polls through other, other mischief.Classic move out of the Socialist playbook: accuse your opponent of what you yourself are doing; therefore, they waste time proving a negative.

Arianna Huffington, is a follower of John-Roger Hinkins of the "Movement for Spiritual Inner Awareness" cult based in Southern California.
An expose described her rise to the top as one aided by inviting prominent politicians to her mansion near Santa Barbara for elaborate dinner parties, then insisting guests expound on their personal spiritual beliefs (without telling them their answers were being recorded!).

Arianna Huffington, is a follower of John-Roger Hinkins of the "Movement for Spiritual Inner Awareness" cult based in Southern California. I don't know exactly why, but the idea of having a hyphen between "John" and "Roger" strikes me as the height of pretentiousness.

wait, wait, wait, I have never heard she lives in the Bay Area. Where would that be?

Van Jones is the President of Ella Baker House, ie, he's on the government dole as we speak. He's a con artist like Jesse Jackson.
Pelosi - one of the richest (by marriage), if not the richest person in congress.
Davis - California's embattled current governor. Hopefully to be replaced by....the Terminator!
Huffington - knowingly married a homosexual and had a kid by him! And pretended to be conservative! Oh the web of LIES this woman weaves!

...Democrats have pledged that Davis will be the only Democrat on the ballot. But some think that plays right into the hands of Republicans... Isn't Davis Constitutionally prohibited from running again as he has been twice elected?

This thread would be better titled "Daft Arianna Huffington for CA Governor"

Last week Laura Ingraham foolishly had Huffington sit in on Tuesday. At the end of the show Huffington said she's be back the next day, too. Tuesday's show she literally spent the whole three hours denouncing the President as a liar. She had as her guests Rob Reiner and Adam Sorkin. She was disappointed that her other guest, Bill Maher, would not join in the bashing, since he asserted that all politicians lie, so it didn't matter that Bush is a liar, too. I suspect that mine was not the only email sent in after the Tuesday performance. Magically, other guests hosts popped up for the Wednesday and Thursday shows, and she was nowhere to be heard.

What I find interesting about Arianna and the left is this. They claim to have sixteen words on Bush and a couple of democrats have already mentioned the "I" word. With Clinton you had millions and they considered us political assassins for mentioning the "I" word.
The media mentions their couple of boys and their take on the need for the "I" word with reverence, but dismissed ours as the vision of far right religious zealots.
And so it goes...

She made her husband turn gay; What would she do to the State?!?
