Teen calls cops after her pot is stolen

Hey, officer, can you help me get my dope back? A teen called York Region cops Thursday to report her marijuana had been stolen in a street robbery.

They said the case highlights changes officers have seen among youth since an Ontario judge ruled in May that there is no legal basis to ban simple possession of pot.

"They're right in your face about it," Const. Steve Morrell said.

The 18-year-old called police after she was robbed outside Thornhill Public School on Yonge St.

She told police two men forced her to hand over pot worth about $20. One man told her he had a gun.

"She reported it (to police) just like it was a stolen bike or Walkman or purse," Morrell said.

Cops are looking for two suspects.

No, but now that you mention it, I think suing Drug Warriors personally for the total cost of the Drug War would be fine with me. I have never been "harrased" unless you count the rape of my wallet to pay for the WoD. However, that is grounds enough to declare war on Drug Warriors.

Cross my heart and hope to die, I actually had a (grown) neighbor who did this once. He used to grow reefer in little plastic pots on top of his roof (everybody knew about it), and one day someone came along and took all of them.

Anyhow, this schmoe calls the cops and complains that somebody stole all of his marijuana. I have never seen cops laugh so hard. They were just flabbergasted that he had called them, but since his hooch was all gone, they didn't arrest him for anything.

Bawhaha... Not to 'one-up' you but once, many many years ago, I also inbibed in the evil weed. I prodeeded to mix up a batch of chocolate cupcakes and put them in to bake (takes about 20 minutes to bake), then walked to the corner store and bought a triple pack of Oreos and a six pack of 12 oz cokes. Took them home, ate all of the cookies (actually, I ate about 1/3 of the cookies on the way home), drank all of the sodas and was just in time for the timer to go off, take the cupcakes out and devour them.

Nah, the social conservatives will attribute any reduction
in crime to something else.  Witness the decline in American
criminality coinciding with legalized abortion.

Boo hoo. It's a legal product (at least in that part of Canada). If someone used a handgun to steal $20 worth of cigarrettes or a $20 sex toy, wouldn't the cops take it seriously?
