Or better, how about waiting until the case is tried in a court of law before anyone here passes further judgment upon the alleged victim, the young woman?

Thank you very much! |
Thank you very much! |
That's the nicest thing that anyone's ever done for me. |
It isn't every day |
good fortune comes me way! |
I never thought the future would be fun for me! |
And if I had a bugle |
I would blow it to add a sort |
o' how's your father's touch. |
But since I left me bugle at home |
I simply have to say |
Thank you very, very, very much! |
Thank you very, very, very much! |
Thank you for your donation!

Then expressed anger from rejected superstar might elicit fear and outrage from the young woman and young woman expresses her fear and outrage physically with a slap, a push or a kick. That is where you little tale falls apart. Kobe didn't suggest that he had been batteried. But maybe his lawyers will soon suggest it.

Or better, how about waiting until the case is tried in a court of law before anyone here passes further judgment upon the alleged victim, the young woman? Because this is not a court of law. It's a discussion forum. You know, for discussion.
We can say any damned thing we want, as long we're willing to put some reasoning behind it.
I think you're wrong, BTW. The woman didn't take food up to the room, according to MSNBC. She went after her shift was over.
And, she's no babe-in-the-woods. She's had some "relationship problems."
Unless the DA's got bruises or blood, he's got her word against his, and his word has been solid gold.
Bryant walks.

his lawyers have already expressed the idea that this was a "political" indictment, whatever that means.....
they had a very elitist attitude towards the sheriff and the DA...
yep....there will be plenty of freepers on the guy's side....them and all the elitist media, the entire athletic brotherhood, the entire city of Los Angeles, that probably we will be hearing from every black "brother" on how that "whitey " trash girl just wanted some black hot stuff and that the whole thing is racist, racist, racist....
for me, I will await the trial, but until then if I lean one way or the other, I will lean in defense of the 19 year old young woman who will take the brunt of the favored media, the favored rich, and the favored black population....
she seems like a pretty brave soul to me, even if she still lives with her mom and dad....

Except for cheating on his wife and child with a rank stranger, if indeed it's not rape.

Later young woman is summoned by telephone and special request from the superstar for her and her alone to deliver food to superstar's hotel room. Young woman knocks on superstar's door, delivers the food, begins to leave and superstar asks her to stay a minute or two longer.
From what I just heard on MSNBC the young female alledged victim was off duty. I think it would be a good idea to wait and see what comes out in the trial.

Okay--The Kobe blubbering has commenced. There are to many special interest groups and boo hoo crowd types who have a great deal invested in the Kobe to let this 19 year old sexual whim get any traction in the justice system. You will hear howls of racism, goldigger, small town bigotry. et al for many weeks. At best the little head was thinking for the big head at worst this is a cold blooded rape. Either way it is a typical MO for an NBA player.

There's another angle I haven't seen here yet.
She's white. She still lives with mom and dad.
Could be she's afraid of what her parents might think if she tells them she had sex with a black man.
But if that black man assaulted her, well, then, none of it was her fault.

Gosh, I wonder if the wife agrees with you? The "solid gold" standard now includes adultery. Try again Deacon.

Oh, nonsense.
My speculative scenario tells only the facts. That is... facts written in the context of my "speculative scenario."
Then again, within my "speculative scenario" you will find that I used the words "speculative scenario" "maybe" and "perhaps" many times.
All versions of what happened to the young woman within Kobe Bryant's hotel room are "a little tale" until the case is tried in a court of law.

I have read that there is indeed a witness of sorts from the room next door who reported a "commotion" in the room about the time of the incident. Athelites have gotten by with so much in their lives they can't conceive of getting a pass on every indiscretion or rape. because of the witness from the next room I believe he is guilty.
To: sinkspur
I think falsehood is inherent in commiting the act of adultry...

He has proclaimed his "innocence". That is a lie. He is guilty of adultery. He broke his wedding vows. A VOW is more than just a promise, it is a solemnity in front of God. A lie would be a good thing, next to breaking that vow Deacon. Yes?

Hehehe, yeah, that's right. The Deacon has adopted a "modern" view here. Adultery isn't a lie. Pah.
