"From the conversation I had I don't see how he could make the authoritative statements he was making from the comments that I made." Naive. Did he really expect BBC to report his leak honestly?
I don't think Tony Blair offed this guy, but I wouldn't be surprised if British intelligence did. They were probably pretty annoyed with him.

Mangold said Kelly was a source to many reporters. His ambition was to help serious journalists understand a complex topic. He was the source.

How once outed was no longer of any use to his handlers.

Blair said there would be an "independent investigation".
heheheh.
It will discover (quite rapidly) he committed suicide because he was angry about the press stories.
heheheh.
To: Dog
No idea who was "keeping" him. Sure is a funny story. The absence of any details suggests a real "hush, hush" approach.
The guy sounds even MORE IMPORTANT than we think. Hope he left some diaries someplace that will put people like Hitlery in their place!! If I remember correctly, Hitlery, during her trip, told Tony directly that an investigation of the "nuclear" documents was the correct thing to do.
Having a FOSTER moment over this!! Don't like this one bit!!

There are consequences for violationg the Official Secrets Laws. Penalties can include termination with prejudice, especially during wartime. This guy was a traitor, betrayed his secrecy oaths. Was he found with a canary in his mouth? Maybe other potential traitors will get the message.

He was the source. I heard about this story this morning, but was a little confused of the details
