I watched the speech on C-Span last night, as well as the Press Conference with The President. I think Tony Blair is eloquent without being sanctimonious in both his prepared remarks as well as in a Q & A situation. The quality of that eloquence is a product of the sincerity he is attempting to express, IMO.

The speech was an enjoyable experience to view, marred only by the disgusting and disturbing behavior of some Democrats: The Clinton smirk, the Waters sourpuss, and more than one napping "elected official" I failed to recognize (like these guys work so hard they're falling asleep at the switch). Overall, it seemed the Demwits were working overtime to not be overly-enthused about anything Blair was saying. And what's up with Levine, affecting the Ben Franklin readers-on-the-tip-of-the-nose "c'mon, whoya tryin to kid?" look? I thought I saw Trent dozing too, but I think he was writing something. I don't recall seeing Bob Graham there either, maybe he was out working on his impeachment case..

What a crew...

Someone should tell them to study this speech. This is how a liberal talks about serious subjects. Note the LACK of whineing, victomolgy, class-warfare.
