[history]
Former Burger King cook Joshua Arbuckle has been charged with aggravated assault for supposedly spitting on the hamburger he prepared for a Pennsylvania state trooper.
Arbuckle, 18, was tied to the crime after a four-month police investigation that included DNA analysis, Clarion County District Attorney Mark Aaron said yesterday.

The disgusting thing is that it probably happens a million times a day.

"Aaron said Arbuckle let investigators swab his mouth to obtain a sample of his genetic makeup. Arbuckle's DNA then was matched to the spittle found on Trooper Robert Manno's burger."Great stuff, DNA.
Such a *science* and so totally unrefutable.
OK, so remind me (again) what the snag the *investigators* in LA had matching the black African-American hairS embedded in the stocking cap they'd found at the scene of the murders, again?? :o)
Laughter's medicine for the soul.

Aaron said the aggravated assault charge, a felony, was made against Arbuckle for one reason only: "The victim's a police officer." Asked if he meant that such a charge would not have been made if Arbuckle were accused of spitting on another teenager's burger, Aaron replied: "I think that's accurate."
Some are more equal.

Joshua Arbuckle - a pseudonym for Jesse Jackson, perhaps?

Aaron said the aggravated assault charge, a felony, was made against Arbuckle for one reason only: "The victim's a police officer." Far from providing and example to the rest of society, a conviction will only ensure that this trooper will never again be able to purchase an ungarnished burger. It will only result in the burger flippers spitting/floor wiping/snotting more copiously and indiscriminately on cop burgers yet with a greater degree of stealth.

Some are more equal. Well, seeing that we can make the inference that this burger was abused because the purchaser was a trooper, your comment is accurate . . . but not in the way you wish.

The only crimes these days are "crimes against the state".
Even in the few remaining narrow categories of "crimes against persons", restitution is usually only made to the "state", not to the victims.

RIGHT ON! FIGHT THE POWER!!LOL

So in the hierarchy of more-equalness that would put cops above gays, blacks, and illegal immigrants. How special.
Or am I mistaken, and all citizens get DNA testing done in simple assaults in this jurisdiction?

"I'm not sure why he opened the sandwich before biting it," Aaron said, adding that there was no history of conflict between the trooper and Arbuckle.Because he's not stupid? People who hate cops do all sorts of stuff.

Farva: Give me a double bacon cheeseburger.
Burger Kid: [Into mic] Double bacon cheeseburger. It's for a cop.
Farva: What the hell's that all about? You gonna spit in it now?
Burger Kid: No, I just told him that so he makes it good.
[Into mic]
Burger Kid: Don't spit in that cop's burger.
Farva: Whatever.
Burger Kid: Want me to super-size your meal for 25 cents?
Farva: Want me to punch-a-size your face, for free?
Burger Kid: It's only 25 cents. Look how much you get.
Farva: You know what I want? A liter of cola. That's French for [shouting] give me my f-----g cola!

From things that I have heard, this happens to cops quite frequently. I guess this one decided to play it safe.
Have also heard about the vindictive acts of chefs--reported by waiters and waitresses--in fine restaurants when a patron returns something to the kitchen. Shut-up and eat it was pretty much the message.

Shut-up and eat it was pretty much the message. I can still recal being about ten years old and eating at a Mexican Restaraunt with my family. There was a burned match stuck in my beans. I told my Dad, who called over the waitress. She then took the food back into the kitchen.
From my seat I could see the conversation between her and the cook. He took the match out, then put some cheese on the beans and stuck it back under the salamader.
I told my Dad what had been done. He took care of it properly by destroying the food (cutting it into pieces) and demanding a fresh plate.
That was the last time we ate at that place.

Yes, in the Newspeak Collective Caste system, cops are above all ethnic and interest groups but below bureaucrats, unless those members of an ethnic or interest group are engaged in protest for an approved leftist cause, then all cops become temporarily part of the untouchable caste and are not allowed to interfere with that group's actions, even if they are destructive and violent.
