CALL TO ACTION
REGARDING: Terri Schiavo
Please read and forward.
Friends,
You may already know Terri Schiavo's situation. Many of you have personally expressed your concern about this tragedy that is currently unfolding in the Florida Courts.
Matters got worse on Friday, July 10th, when Terri's family was informed that the appellate court would provide no relief. In two weeks, Terri's case will head back to Judge George Greer's court where he will order Terri's starvation death to commence.
Terri's family intends to do everything possible to stop this action, but time is running out FAST. One hope - perhaps the only hope - is Florida's Governor, Jeb Bush. He has the authority to grant a 'stay' while he conducts an investigation to determine the actual cause of Terri's mysterious collapse. Here's why he should intercede:
For over 10 years, Terri's husband, Michael Schiavo, sealed Terri's medical records from inspection. Only recently, doctors other than those selected by Michael Schiavo, reviewed these medical records. It was found that a heart attack did not cause Terri's collapse as everyone was led to believe. Rather, according to one physician, Terri may have been a strangulation victim. In addition, a radiologist concluded that Terri was "worked over pretty good".
After reviewing the newly found evidence and professional opinions, the consensus strongly suggests that Terri may have been physically battered by her husband Michael Schiavo, thus causing Terri's asphyxiation and ensuing heart failure. This new information is too incriminating to be ignored, it must be investigated.
The following link is a petition to Governor Bush regarding Terri's case that asks him to "stay" any further legal proceedings until an investigation can be made. You too can help Terri, but she needs you to act immediately. In 14 days, her fight could be over.
If you could sign your name & your city at the bottom and click the submit button. It will only take a moment of your time and your information is confidential.
If you would also like to personally write the Governor, his email is jeb@jeb.org. You can also fax Governor Bush @ 850-922-4292, or you can call his office @ 850-488-4441.
If you are not familiar with all the aspects of this case, you visit the family's web site on www.terrisfight.org to learn more about the legal battle.
You are welcome to telephone me personally if I may answer any questions or provide any additional information.
Finally, if you could, please forward this email along to every person you know and ask that they do the same. With everything I have in me, I beg you to act as quickly as possible. Please do not turn your back on this innocent woman.
Thank you on Terri's behalf and on behalf of the family and friends who love her.

Has anyone mentioned this to Glenn Beck? He had actually spoken about this matter and his opposition to Terri's murder in the past. I would be willing to bet if this was mentioned on his show a whole bunch of signatures would hit the petition.

Beck used to cover Terri's story with some regularity when he was stationed in Tampa. Would be interesting to hear his response to this latest info.

The husband will not divorce Terri because he stands to inherit whatever is left of a million dollar settlement she received in a malpractice suit. This money, which was designated to take care of Terri for the rest of her life, is being used by the husband to pay his attrney to pursue all these court actions to kill her.
He is beneath contempt.
Please, FReepers, sign the petition so that Terri may live out her life until natural death.

Why can't the family petition a judge to grant the husband a divorce from Terri, give the husband all the money, and they can take over as her guardians?
He wants to be free from the burden of taking care of his wife and he wants money. Give him what he wants now so that they can get on with the business of taking care of Terri.
Why would a judge object to a transfer in guardianship if the parents are willing?

I wish you were the judge in this case! That is such a reasonable solution.

Thanks for posting. I think about Terry often and wonder what has happened to her.
This article seems to focus only on the possible criminal issue. Does this mean the moral case against starving her to death has been lost?
I mean, what if it were somehow proved that there was no criminality involved in whatever caused Terry's condition? Is it beyond hope now that judges will keep her from being starved to death, merely on grounds of her right to life ?

>Terri responds regularly to the presence of her parents and friends. Her husband's doctors testified Terri's cognizant responses to Terris parents and friends are simply a reflex action.<
Referring to the photo of Terri responding to her mother, has this "judge" lost his/her mind? How on earth could this person be serving in our judicial system to order this woman's death???
What are we coming to?

Subject: Terri Schiavo Update
I would like to thank you for taking the time to sign the petition to Governor Jeb Bush, asking for intervention in the case of Terri Schiavo. As of this writing, we have received several thousand signatures and are eager to receive more.
As a follow up, a demonstration is planned for Friday, July 25, 2003 at the main Courthouse in Tampa (800 East Twiggs Street) starting at 8.00 am. Those in the Tampa Bay area are encouraged to attend, if possible. The more people representing Terri, the stronger case we make for the Governor to take action.
We have put videos of Terri on VIDEO
and a cleaned-up copy of Terri's 1991 bone scan SCAN (which shows she suffered major trauma).
Our home page, including a link to the petition is on HOME PAGE .
Additionally, the family's site is on www.terrisfight.org Please see for yourself the woman the Florida Courts are calling a "vegetable" with "no hope of recovery".
If you've not already done so, I respectfully ask that you please forward this information to everyone in your address book. We need to keep the pressure on Florida officials and law enforcement if we want them to do the right thing in Terri's case.
Again, I thank you on behalf of Terri and her family for your continued support and assistance. See you at the Courthouse!

Surely something that wrong must be illegal in some way.

Kidney disease generally produce a high potassium counts. A lot of people exist with just barely normal potassium levels, and sudden shock or dehydration can push it lower. In terms of a heart attack, most cardiologists consider potassium to be low if below "4", even if most labs consider potassium levels normal if they run between 3.5 to 5.2.

Thanks for the info., I wonder if this were the case with Terri or was she actually beat up by her husband. I guess we will never know the real truth. The information on the web page never mentioned any underlying kidney disease just the low postassium level causing her heart attack.

Glenn Beck will be discussing Teri's situation today--July 28.
Teri received another 30 day reprieve from death on Friday in FL 2nd District Appellate Court.
To: NautiNurse
Thanks, Nauti. Here's the update letter from Pam:
Friends,
We are so excited to tell you the good news we received Friday from the Florida 2nd District Appellate Court.
Unbelievably they reversed their last decision . They granted Terri a 30 day stay of execution. That order keeps the case jurisdiction in the Appellate Court. Consequently, Judge Greer will be unable to order Terri's feeding removed. Last we heard, Greer was scheduling a hearing for Monday, at which time he probably would have scheduled a date to stop Terri's food and water.
So, Terri is out of harms way for at least another month and her attorney and family are preparing the next step. We are very happy to share the good news with you.
Additionally, nationally syndicated radio host, Glenn Beck, is scheduled to present Terri's situation on his Monday, July 28, 2003 program from 9.00 - 12.00 ET. You can find a local affiliate here:
http://www.glennbeck.com/affiliates/. I wish to thank everyone who took time to personally write and express their concerns for Terri. Your support and encouragement is welcome and very much appreciated.
Finally, if you do not wish to receive further emails, please don't hesitate to reply to this note with REMOVE in the subject. I understand how frustrating spam mail can be and we don't want to cause anyone any inconvenience.
Thank you again on behalf of Terri and her family.
