Nice picture of Kiener Plaza. Doesn't the Old Courthouse look good.
I was just wondering because getting fire trucks on to the Arch grounds isn't the easiest thing. Besides, the Arch is stainless steel over concrete, I won't burn easily.
The generator room makes sense.

The "elevator" is similar to a dozen large clothes dryer drums chained together. Two medium people can fit easily. Since the arch is not straight up, the drums slowly tilt as you go up and then suddenly lurch back upright every 50 feet or so. Don't go up if you are claustrophobic or prone to motion sickness.
