I pinged the Texas folks on this because Congresswoman Kay Granger (R-12, Texas) voted AGAINST this amendment which denies funding to coercive population control groups. To me that is very offensive, as it is clear to just about everyone that UNFPA has no problem whatsoever, and may even help, forced abortions and coercive sterilizations.

For Texas folks in District 12, Congresswoman Granger's home office is 817-338-0909. Her Washington number is 202-225-5071

Someone who knows how, please ping the pro-life list. Thanks!

On the bright side, Congressman Ralph Hall (D-TX) and Congressman Charlie Stenholm (D-TX) voted "Yes" on the amendment.

Now, if we could just stop direct and indirect funding of this human slaughter (3300 daily, I repeat, DAILY) in our OWN country, then I'd be really impressed. It is a start, tho!

Indeed. Baby steps. Bush did the right thing in yanking their funding.

I see my two DiMwitOCRAT waterboys voted NO. No surprise. Good move by Republicans. Next step, defund the UN.

No surprise on Dennis Moore's voting "No". Adam Taff almost unseated him last election and I hope he tries again.

IMHO, anyone who voted "No" should have to explain why they support an organization that gives aid and comfort to forced abortionists.

Joe Crowley, by the way, claims to be a Roman Catholic.

His father was a pro-life Democrat - but little Joey decided that the hope of a future Committee Chairmanship was just as good as 30 pieces of silver.

bump

Anyone out there in New Mexico, Texas, or Oklahoma that sees a 28 foot Prowler trailer being dragged behind a red 1990 Dodge 3/4 ton pickup truck with Maine plates, let the pastor know about this post will ya?

Thanks

"Pro-life lawmakers accused the UNFPA of involvement in and tolerance of forced abortions and sterilizations in China."

My congresscritter, Wu, voted NO. He's Chinese.

He had no problem lobbying and voting against MFN for China, but he doesn't want to save Chinese babies.

How fitting for a 'Rat.

Thank you for the ping so I didn't miss this good news. It is indeed a 'baby step', but it will likely allow at leaast some babies to in fact someday take a step!

Thanks for posting this! All four of our OK Republican Congressmen voted Yes while the RAT of NE Oklahoma voted NO!

I figured Ralph Hall would vote yes as he votes with us more than the RATs. Looks like a lot of the Blue Dog Democrats voted with us as well which includes Stenholm.

This is great news! Keep defunding the Leftist UN!
