There were a couple of articles published that debunked the CAIR stats. To begin with, a good many of these "hate crimes" could hardly merit being called crime; mostly acts of off-the-cuff rudeness by people who recognized someone as either Arab or Moslem. Second, this sort of thing was happening even while the WTC was still standing, but CAIR didn't bother counting these trifles until afterward, so we really don't know if there was a real jump in the stats.
My own attitude is to tell CAIR, "Don't bother telling us about anything unless it's worse than what happens to Jews and Christians in your ancestral country."

I do have to warn you to prepare for a tirade from the "spelling nazis" here though; you mis-spelled muslum. The spelling nazis don't care what you write; but if you mis-
spell something watch out!
