Misty - hey you just be the right one who can expolde the darn VA's inepitude!!! It's been going on forever and a day!
My story is that I'm a partner to a VN vet who is 100 percent disbled. I've helped him out, some.
This story is NOT a small-town, local story. The VA has F'd over VN vets for many, many years. I'm sure there are many real docs who try to help - but they don't step up. Or won't.

Thanks for the vote of confidence. YOu are so right. I am holding back for a little bit because I don't want to rock the boat while something is happening, but this story and many others are very worthy of telling.

I am numbed by the events of this past couple of weeks and this morning. My brother passed away this morning after a very traumatic past couple of weeks trying desparately to get his life back in order. After he left the hospital he tried to convince himself that he would be okay, and with a heart function of only 10%, he was busily out and about town buying Christmas gifts for the kids and whatever else he felt the family needed. It was so sad to see him taking every ounce of energy he had to make sure his wife had new dishes. He would be so exhausted that he couldn't even load things into the car without help, and all of us were terrified that he would get into an accident or hurt someone else on his treks. Then last night he went to sleep and awoke very early this morning (right after midnight) and took his last breath.
Thanks for all of your concern and prayers. My brother was a fighter and he fought this all the way.

My condolence and prayers to you and your family.
I never know what to say at times like this, any words I use seem to be so insufficient.

Misty I am so sorry to hear this news. Please accept my condonlences and my prayers for your brother and the family.
He was just a common VETERAN and his ranks are growing thin
but his presence should remind us, we may need his kind again.
For when countries are in conflict, then we find that the militarys part,
is to clean up all the troubles that the politicians start.
If we cannot do him honor, while hes here to hear the praise,
then at least let us give him homage at the ending of his days.
Perhaps just a simple headline in the newspaper that might say;
OUR COUNTRY IS IN MOURNING
FOR A VETERAN DIED TODAY
