ORLANDO, Fla. -- In a landmark decision, the Florida Supreme Court has done away with a law requiring doctors to notify the parents of minors having an abortion. But now the law is not consistent for other medical procedures.
In the state of Florida, in order to get any sort of surgical procedure, a minor must not only notify their parents, they have to get parental consent. But in the case of an abortion, the Supreme Court ruled a minor's right to privacy outweighs a parent's right to know.
It's now more difficult for someone under the age of 18 to get a tattoo or a belly button ring than it is to get an abortion...

This must not stand!
My minor daughter is not allowed to drink a beer, with or without my knowledge or permission, and another adult who supplies her with a beer can be charged with contributing to the deliquency of a minor, but...
It is the wisdom of the court (sarcasm) that a secret abortion is a matter of her right to privacy, and none of my business?
What kind of vile legal mind comes to this kind of warped conclusion?

Hi GMO! This is completely mind boggling. What happens when these children bleed out on an operating table and the parents have no idea they're in surgery? Who does Planned Parenthood notify then...the tattoo guy?

What can I say? You are absolutely right.
If something were to happen to my daughter at school, and she needed to be taken to the hospital immediately, everyone would be doing backflips (and rightly so) trying to locate my husband or myself for our verbal parental consent should an emergency medical procedure need to be performed.
Goodness...how is this different?
What the heck are the Supremes thinking?

The real question here is...
Why are these anti-American pukes who call themselves "judges" still on the bench after they tried to stage a major coup in 2000 and install their own man into the office of the presidency?
Don't the "good people" of Florida have enough common sense to do what it takes to get rid of these scum? Oh wait, these are the same folks who weren't able to even punch a hole in a card, or to count. You can only expect so much. Let's just hope these scumwad "judges" don't take the rest of the country down with them, although I'm sure that's exactly what they want.

Isn't it deplorable?
I can't even imagine from which direction the lawsuits will come from.

Don't any of these judges have children? I wonder what would happen if it was one of their children that ended up in the most tragic of scenarios?

Isn't it ironic that in this state there is an amendment protecting pregnant pigs...but we kill our children. Sad.
BTTT.

These judges are out of control. I wonder how many of them have minor daughter's and if they do how they would feel if they found out their daughter had an abortion without their knowledge.
My daughter will be 17 next week and I find it hard to believe that anyone with an ounce of common sense would approve of this. It's just crazy.

I hear you. Right now, the state of FL gives freedom to minors to make decisions of life & death proportions, that a parent, like myself, would not permit.
I'd like to know how we can change the FL law to be such that the FL population votes for a Supreme in the future. Appointments create activist judges, imo.

Why am I not surprised that the FL Supreme Court made this insane ruling.

Of course, there's a huge loophole here. Most surgeries are performed by
doctors. An abortionist is usually a butcher with no current medical license and no accountability to the law or anyone else. Hard to believe the scuzzy sleazeball at the tattoo parlor is more of a professional than your local baby butcher but them's the facts. The fact that abortionists can violate a whole host of medical standards that any other medical professional is required to meet already is what makes these sort of rulings possible.
Don't kid yourself. The baby murderers were not going to risk losing there profits regardless of what the laws or the physician's code of ethics might say about the matter so its really a moot point. It's like passing a law that says terrorists can no longer hijack airplanes.
Abortion isn't about medicine any more than bank robberies are about saving for retirement. The SCOFLA recognizes that. You walk into those lawless butcheries at your own peril.

If these young minors are seeking abortions, then obviously they had sexual intercourse that culminated in a pregnancy. What these clinics will be/are doing is aiding and abetting criminal acts.
And they say there is no connection to the gay agenda and abortion....thank you perverts and Now and of course you liberal Rats for successfully lowering the age of consent for abortion in the state of Florida.
Now if Mass approves the same sex marriage...all of the gay agenda follows including lowering the age of consentwhich has been on their agenda since 1972. Why does it matter to them? Legalizing prostitution was on the gay agenda as well (is it still?)
Where in God's green pastures will it be safe to bring up children who can actually enjoy being children. I'm making myself sick thiking and writing this.
