Do We Detect a Pattern Here?

"Several candidates for the Democratic presidential nomination spoke out yesterday. Rep. Richard A. Gephardt (D-Mo.) said Bush's 'factual lapse' cannot be easily dismissed 'as an intelligence failure.' He said the president 'has a pattern of using excessive language in his speeches and off-the-cuff remarks' which 'represents a failure of presidential leadership.' "--Associated Press

"Amid questions about the president's justification for war against Iraq, [John Kerry] the Massachusetts senator [who by the way served in jail] plans to question Bush's credibility next week by citing a pattern of deception on national security and domestic issues, aides said."--Associated Press

"What troubles me is not that single episode, but the broader pattern of dishonesty and delusion that helped get us into the Iraq mess."--Nicholas Kristof, New York Times

"The case of the bogus uranium purchases wasn't an isolated instance. It was part of a broad pattern of politicized, corrupted intelligence."--former Enron adviser Paul Krugman, New York Times

"I think the American people are aware this administration has engaged in a pattern of deceit."--Dennis Kucinich

Nothing but the drum beat is exactly right.

Once the left gets on track, through their compliant media, they are like a massive orchestra of Taiko drummers. Drum their points on. Drum out opposing views. Beat louder and louder. Drum out all sense and sensibility.

Remember the response to the Clinton scandles? Same game plan. If Goebbels had been a drummer, he might well have said "Beat a big lie long enough and loud enough..."

Seems the Liberal Press arm of the DNC cannot seem to understand English

Not only do they understand English they're proficient at twisting words to fit their agenda. Now they tell us that a President should never rely on intelligence from foreign sources and if he understood foreign policy, he would know better.

What concerns me are the sheeple constantly baited into believing our President lied and the poll numbers are beginning to reflect it's effectiveness. Curious that during the Monica mess, and the blatant lies under oath, X42's poll numbers remained high. Go figure.

And ... what the dems have failed to research is - Iraq has been purchasing uranium from Niger since 1979. The list showed 7-8 purchases over the years.

The PATTERN is right there for all to see; they made a good choice of words - because they're going to have to eat them.

The democrats and main stream media are mad about three things:

1. Their god, bill clinton was impeached.
2. George W. Bush was elected President of the United States of America.
3.President Bush ran another of their heroes, Saddam Hussine out of Iraq and has their other ally, Al Quida on the run.

The reason that they ally with Saddam and Al Quida is that all four have the same goal, the complete and total destruction of the United States by any means necessary.

PhiKapMom, each time you read or hear the terms "liberal" and "democrat", substitute the word "communist".
These individuals are totally dedicated to the complete and total destruction of the way of life as we know it today.
They will use any means necessary to accomplish their goal.

In countries that they control, the communists have killed more of their own people that all the wars combined.
The United States will be no exception from this if they ever gt control of the government.

I think all these people supposedly spotting patterns are lacking gravitas.

XV. Thou shalt not unnecessarily excerpt.

I wasn't sure this met the definition of "excerpted". Caption this Pic, while technically an "excerpt", is a subject all it's own. "Do We Detect A Pattern Here?" is a complete and non-excerpted segment of today's James Taranto "Best of the Web" piece. The rest had nothing to do with "patterns". (^;

We just have to say:

It's just lying to kill a dictator. The American people don't care. It's time to move on.

LOL. Let me think about that one. ;-)

It's long been known that the DNC maintains a computerized fax system with talking points.

It's a jungle out there, isn't it? ;-)

I have always thought those polls were phoney as I believe these polls are phoney -- ask the right question and get the answer you want.

I don't trust members of the Democrat D.C. media to tell any truth!

I agree with you!

I was telling someone on here the other day that even in the USSR they used the word "socialist" to stand for communism which they considered too harsh of term to have in the name of their country according to an article I read.

Truly believe the clintons are communist along with a lot of other DemocRATs. We already know the House has a number of socialist party members.

This has now become a battle in 2004 for the heart and soul of this Country! We have got to win!

Last poll I saw was FOX. 71% side with Bush going against Iraq. It was a few days ago, if I remember right (I've been busy, so time is flying).

I thought I saw that poll too and now others are saying he is down in the 50's! I find that hard to believe.

AS reported on blah blah blah blah and blah..

This 7 x 24 hour news cycle .. We are in news overload. and most of the time , it is fluff. or just pure propaganda.

Is a country, so easily swayed over such a reworked piece of invective as the media slings today, really watching all the "news" and then getting polled? I doubt it, myself. Polls can be as biased as ya want them to be.

Wasn't there an acknowledged 5500 metric tons of uranium as of 1998 ... per a UN report? Could be the same stuff, maybe. I recall that number being mentioned as part of the work done up until 1998 by the UN before they left Iraq.

They have always understimated and ridiculed him. Tried to. Failed. Done that. Didn't work. Seen through it. Move on. There's a war to be finished out there and our troops to finish the job and come on home.
