CINCINNATI, Posted 6:33 p.m. EDT July 14, 2003 -- In the movie "The Sixth Sense," a young boy said he saw dead people. In Cincinnati, a boy said he could see angels.
NewsChannel5 reported that the boy, Ryan Reynolds, died in April from a brain tumor. Before he died, he told his mother he had a great time at a family picnic because he was surrounded by his guardian angels.
"My parents died way before he was ever born, and he said, 'Mommy, your mommy and daddy,'" said Shirley Reynolds, Ryan's mother. "I said, 'Yeah, what about them?' He said, 'Is that them in the picture on the wall?' And I said 'Yes.'And he said, 'Mom, I just wanted you to know, they're both OK.' He said, 'They're just as pretty as they are in that picture, except they have wings and they're waiting for me.'"
Three different cameras using three different kinds of film were developed at three different places and all had the same transparent white shapes.

but I certainly don't think the family is stupid. I'm grateful they are comforted.Perhaps you've hit on the very reason for this anomaly. Whether it is an angel (which I am inclined to doubt) or not, the effect was to comfort the family in this most horrible time.

My brother died unexpectedly when my son was about 2 1/2. One minute he was at my house and an our later he was dead. A couple of days later we were at my mother's house and my son went into the bedroom that my brother had always stayed in. When he came out he said "Someone's laughing in there" (my brother was a real cutup). My husband, mother, et al looked at each other and my son said "No really, someone's laughing in there!" He was very articulate and quite insistent about it. For the next year when my husband took my son to preschool, they drove by the spot where my brother had died. Each day at the exact moment they were driving by the spot, my son would start asking questions about Uncle Billy. We had never told him how or where Uncle Billy had died. It makes the hair stand up on my neck whenever I think about it.

Yes, thanks. I don't know what's on the photos and don't care. I do believe in angels, but I have never seen one or experienced one that I know of.
I do care a lot for families that have child who dies. I think that's the worst grief in the world, to outlive your child...my dear mother in law lost a son who was thirteen when he suddenly died of previously unknown heart disease...she saw him, smiling at her, reassuring her, as real as when he was alive, in a cloud one day about a year after his death; from that day on she was consoled, though she never got over losing her son so young.
And to Mineral Man: I'm sorry that I misread the author of the "stupid" comment, it wasn't you, and I apologize.

I am not sugar coating anything....you have no tact. That family just lost their son and he believed he saw angels and pictures from three different cameras show an anomaly in the pictures. You could have said that you think the family is mistaken but instead, you insult them which I find cruel. As for the Jack Nicholson line out of a Few Good Men...."You can't handle the truth!"....Nichoson played a unstable overbearing bully...I find it ironic that you would pick this line.

Why would angels appear as a white spot on a photo?
I'm sorry but when observations of something are indistinguishable from halucinations and camera malfunctions I'm going to need more evidence to believe in them.

Oh, if it's this guy's "guardian angel," I doubt I have much to be afraid of, unless it's the inner city sort of Guardian Angel, and they don't seem too malevolent, either.

Mineral Man, please see my apology to you above. The "stupid" comment was of course made by setcapt, and I apologize again for confusing the author of that comment.
Setcapt, you like the unvarnished plain straight truth? Frankly, I don't think YOU can handle it.

"If I do will you then believe?"
Do what? Send your "guardian angel?" Sure, just as soon as he/she shows up.

Well, there is that, I guess, but you want to watch out. There are folks here who don't cotton to witches of any kind. Just check out any of the Harry Potter threads.

Why would angels appear as a white spot on a photo?I have a guardian angel, however, whenever I take pictures he or she appears on the back of the picture. I even know his or her name.... Kodak

Christ doesn't show up in your driveway in a rental car ... but (if you *really* want to know if He's real) He will make His presence known to you ... you will find it hard to put into words ...

And the proof of it is that the name is the same forwards or backwards. It's a miracle!

"Christ doesn't show up in your driveway in a rental car ... "
No doubt, but Jesus did show up last Friday. He mowed my yard, edged the driveway, and pruned an overgrown rose bush. That's enough for me to believe in Jesus.

I'll bet you and freeper "f.christian" could have some entertaining exchanges. ;-)FC is on another thread, explaining to us what we can expect in the afterlife. He has no time for Photoshop threads.
