I cannot say enough good things about how the Iraqi war went. The flexibility to change things hours before the expected battle kickoff, somehow keeping enough supplies to allow the troops to move, and starting with a ground campaign instead of air.
If this was a half assed battle plan, I hope we continue to produce them.
We were lucky the Iraqis sucked and our supply lines were not cut off and that they did not wait for us to go into the cities to fight. If they did, with the forces we had there-we would have been singing a different tune. The aftermath also indicates a lack of manpower to do the job. No doudt about it, our soldiers overcame a half assed plan that should have gotten Rummy's septuagenarian ass fired.
