Hope for highground, and pray for speed.

Those damn Cat 1's can move like a slug, and dump like a fiber-eatin' pachyderm. It ain't the winds that getcha, it's the 16 inches in 2 hrs.

Well... I did my time (a pleasure, for sure) on the 'Redneck Riviera'.

I've been witness to flying elephants, suffering dysentery.

Very nice site, I'm thinking my area will make up the three or four inches of rain we are lacking this year, and then some, sometime this week.

I've pressed the refresh button and it looks like we might get the worse side of it - may not get the eye though.

Update at 11:00 PM too I think.

Every now and then the gusts shake the house. Not too bad yet. Earlier we checked out the dunes and the waves were splashing over them in Gilchrist. The water was up to the dunes near me.

I live in San Antonio, TX. and it is very, very humid right now. Also, it's very still, not a leaf moving...nothing.
