It's not exactly the Fourth of July. As I recall, a crazed mob stormed the Bastille and found, inside, three prisoners, one of whom was the Marquis de Sade. The French Revolution was a sad perversion of the American Revolution, and Europe has suffered for it ever since.

I agree. Bastille Day was an marxist riot that paved the way for the Reign of Terror. The King was a loser, but the rabble that took over after the "revolution" were even worse.
