AZ Republic’s ‘Stands’ are repulsive; and repugnant too
Sonoran News ^ | Don Sorchych

The Arizona “Repulsive” and “Repugnant” as the “Arizona Republic” has so often been not so lovingly referred, likes to tell us how to vote, live and think. One matter dear to the heart of this newspaper is the illegal alien invader issue. We are polar opposites of the illegal-alien-cheering Gannett property.

Their editorial staff is replete with Hispanics, like Ricardo Pimentel and Richard Ruelas who sing the praises of their illegal brothers, and brand critics of the illegal activities as racists and bigots.

I knew the ediotorial page of the Repugnant was doomed when they put Keven Willey (sp?) in charge.

I have the same death watch on at the Tribune, waiting for Mark Scarp to be named EIC.

I always was fond of the "Almost Broadcasting Company" myself. The other terms just poke fun at the news outlets' sleaziness, but this one aims right at their heart and says "you're a subpar, third-rate outfit, no matter what you report."

Years ago, when the Republic was a conservative paper, Ruben Navarrete was a conservative columnist who promoted the Hispanic entrepreneur. When the paper went Gannetoid a few years ago, Navarrete and all the other conservative got canned. Now we only buy the Sunday edition for the TV listings and supermarket coupons.

You can bet that this fishwrap will lead the charge against the illegal alien proposition.

Gannet owns our only local paper, too, the Palm Springs, Desert sun (CA). Heavy homo population here, they fawn over them like crazy. Every day is GAY PRIDE day here. I don't have anything against them but I get tired of having their weird antics rubbed in my face all the time. Typical bunch of liberal idiots!

Is the Sonoran a print newspaper or just an online organization?

It may have been a Freudian slip back into my Army days and the acronym FUBAR -- effed up beyond all recognition.

It was also our definition of an unsanely good party, so maybe the fun is just beginning...

I remember when the Cilbuper was somewhere to the right of Attila the Hun. Had to read the @#$%^&* New Times to get some balance (not to mention my favorite, the DopeRoper comic strip). In the old days they thought Barry Goldwater was a dangerous llberal.

She gave me an autographed book prior to this.

She contacted me through FR about 8 months before her book came out and we have several conversations and she used some of the information I provided on my web page.
