The Arizona Repulsive and Repugnant as the Arizona Republic has so often been not so lovingly referred, likes to tell us how to vote, live and think. One matter dear to the heart of this newspaper is the illegal alien invader issue. We are polar opposites of the illegal-alien-cheering Gannett property.
Their editorial staff is replete with Hispanics, like Ricardo Pimentel and Richard Ruelas who sing the praises of their illegal brothers, and brand critics of the illegal activities as racists and bigots.

I will say, however, that Ruelas does a great job of spearing Joe Arpaio and does have balance on Hispanic matters sometimes. Pimentel never does. Ricardo is a nice guy but hopelessly polarized.
When Sonoran News and Concerned Citizens Against Illegal Immigration hosted a debate between their own Pimentel and the phenomenal syndicated columnist Michelle Malkin, not one news story resulted in the Republic, even though the audience had a near dozen editorial staffers from the Gannett subsidiary.
The editorial reporting of the event in the daily was scant even with the horsepower from all around the state. Why? Because Malkin handed Pimentel his head. How can you defend patently illegal activities without looking like a fool? In fact, Pimentel asked the question, What is it about illegal that I dont understand? The audience, strongly partisan to Malkin, quieted to hear his indefensible defense. There was no answer.
He evaded his own question.
Not only has the Republic allowed free reign to the Pimentels and Ruelas on their editorial staff, they have done the same on the news side, where objectivity should flourish.
Bylines, which take the side of the poor invaders who die crossing our deserts in the summertime, are typically Hispanic surnames. Hispanic bylines trash the patriots who are attempting to stem the tide at the border, like Glen Spencer and Tombstone Tumbleweed Publisher Chris Simcox. Some fly under the radar screen with camouflage names like Yvonne Wingette, whose tear-jerking stories about illegal invading aliens border on editorial. Linda Bentleys picture of Wingette, in last weeks story about the pending Neely recall, blew that cover.
Wingette relabeled the day laborer center to a waiting center for day laborers.
The so-called day laborer center should be called Illegal Tax-Supported Center for Illegal Alien Invaders.
As Monday Night Football analyst Howard Cosell was fond of saying, Tell it like it is. But no, the Republic has to be politically correct. Diversity, I suppose, trumps truth.
A blitz of Republic articles followed the press conference where the intent to recall Neely was announced.
On July 2, the Republic Our stand headlined, Recall the recall, Peggy Neely has done nothing wrong.
How do they know? Did they talk to the dozens of constituents who have been offended by Neelys arrogance?
And since when is promoting use of tax dollars for illegal uses a good thing?
They call the recall undemocratic. Really? Why then is it a state constitutional right?
They call it foolish because it is a federal issue beyond the control of Phoenix.
False.
What has Phoenix done to petition our congressional delegation, INS, the president, Vincente Fox, and Homeland Security to secure our borders and send illegal alien invaders back where they came from?
I suspect if the border states made this a burning issue it would get attention.
What we didnt need was for our congressional delegation to brag about recycling our tax dollars (they call them federal funds) to give illegal invading aliens medical care. Anyone tell them that? Certainly not the illegal alien caressing governor, nor any member of the Phoenix City Council.
They are all counting Hispanic votes.
The Republic points out that Neely was only one of nine votes that unanimously approved the Illegal alien center.
So?
Does the Republic think that everyone in Phoenix just got off a turnip truck? It is well known how precinct votes are bought, by promising to vote for the other council members favorite project.
Unfortunately for Neely, along with her precinct status goes accountability. It is her district, and she will have to defend her actions.
And boo hoo, it is expensive, whines the editorial board. So are many things. Read Linda Bentleys article in this edition that points out, from a credible source, that illegal invaders cost over $55,000 each over the life of their illegal occupation of our country.
The estimated $200,000 to remove a dysfunctional politician is chickenfeed and money well spent.
Then the editorial collectives attack Tom Bearup, candidate for sheriff, Randy Pullen, mayoral candidate for Phoenix and Francis Barwood, ex-Phoenix council member for mugging at a press conference announcing the recall.
How petty can the two-ton gorilla of Arizona be?
They end with, The recall effort should be abandoned before any more damage is done.
I cant speak for the organizers, but last I heard they dont seem like citizens who will take orders from the Arizona Republic or any other entity that cant explain what it is about illegal that they dont understand.
What they are doing should be applauded and this newspaper calls them patriots.
Then on July 1, ex-superintendent of schools Jaime Molera wrote a letter to the editors concerning the Neely recall press conference, published in the Republic, and attacking Mayoral candidate Pullen, accusing him of desperation and using attacks on Hispanics to win votes. He calls Pullens opponent immensely qualified.
So far polls and fundraising favor Phil Gordon, Pullens opponent.
The next day The Molera Alverez Group and Jackson Marketing Internacional won a one-year contract worth $130,000 to assist the Phoenix Aviation Department with developing corporate and government contracts in Mexico.
Molera is a partner in the Molera Alvarez group.
The July 2 Phoenix council packet read, The Molera Alvarez Group is eligible to do business with the City of Phoenix until May 5, 2005, and Jackson Marketing Internacional is eligible to do business with the City of Phoenix until June 11, 2005 by being in compliance with the affirmative action requirements of Chapter 18 of the Phoenix City code, Article IV or V.
The contracts can be renewed annually for three years at the discretion of the Aviation Director.
All a coincidence, Im sure.
But isnt affirmative action wonderful? You gotta wonder how many Jayson Blairs are on the Republics payroll.
Aww man! Enough of the fundraiser posts!!! |

I wonder how the sight of all those uniforms and M-16s affected them...
It probably did not bother them at all. Now if the uniforms were Mexican, then they might be worried.
Hmmm...yes, I can see that...take care of yourself, time to get back to work!
