Beyonce, no doubt, was asked "who's buried in Grant's Tomb?"

I saw a clip of her performance. She was presenting like a cat in heat. Really classy stuff, that.

Disrespectful dance on the tomb of a Yankee general?
I guess Beyonce so bad after all.

So much for respect for the dead. I don't think any further comment's necessary. This display speaks for itself of a kind in keeping with the Paul Wellstone memorial last year. We all saw and felt the tasteless of liberals then and now.

When I'm dead, I sure wouldn't mind having half-naked women dance on my grave.

I want to make it known that this type of behavior is not only permitted upon my tomb/grave/beer-pickled corpse, but also encouraged.

Grant got a better reception in the South after the war than in New York today. Sad.

What happened to respect for the dead? Also, Grant was a UNION general, and she's black. Amazingy crass and ignorant behavior. IF she's American, I'm ashamed of her.

I feel that this was the fault of whoever contracted Beyonce to perform for this.
Certain performers perform a certain way.
If a dignified performance is appropriate, ... contract someone who is known for giving dignified performances.
In some contexts, I can appreciate Beyonce. However, this context was not appropriate for her.

I'm sure America's first black president wouldn't have minded if she performed for him.

Saw the performance. Thought it odd at Grant's Tomb, but you don't expect Beyonce to sing Feelings or Maresedoats wearing a sweater and pleated skirt do you?

The star danced in a "patently inappropriate" way on the steps to the tomb during a nationally-televised 4 July concert What, exactly, IS an appropriate way to dance at Grant's Tomb?

It's disgusting. A distasteful and insulting spectacle. The definition of "atrocity".
Whoever authorized this should be fired, and fired immediately.
Maybe they'll allow Christina Aguillera to slut all over Robert E. Lee's grave next...

Grant had the best view in the house.
