Keep in mind that USA Today acts as a campaign advisor to teh dems. On the surface it looks like a slam, but all it is is advice on how to win.

USA Today generally does a nice job, IMHO, of presenting balanced stories.

Richard Benedetto is OOSA-Today's token "thinker." While he may get the DNC Daily Talking Points FAX, he doesn't echo it like so many other sycophants in the media. You will normally find his articles well thought out and largely devoid of inflammatory spin. I know, an anamoly for that paper.
