You have to be very careful not to leave any food out NOT intended for them!

LOL. We were eating at a restaurant in Brisbane, al fresco, and had a huge Ibis join us. He was insisting he was going to share our lunch. We won out and managed to keep him away. If he had been much bigger, we might have had to let him join us. LOL. I guess they are used to getting scraps off the tables.

We heard so many interesting bird calls in Australia. We couldn't see most of them in the trees, but their songs were almost jungle-like. Very different from the bird calls here. I wished I had more time to discover what birds were in the area. I asked a couple locals if they knew what kind of birds we were hearing, but they didn't seem to know. I guess they were just commonplace birds to them.

How funny! Lunch with an ibis! Now that is something that doesn't happen everyday.

Did you post any pictures of your trip to down under? Do you have the URL to that thread? That is one of my 'dream trips'.

**But backpacking it.**
