This is sick.
Absolutely sick.
I haven't watched news from CBS, ABC, NBC, PBS, CNN or CSpan's morning Democrat Seminar Calling Orgy for years.
Thank Goodness.

Any way you look at it this is slanted news by CBS which isn't surprising for a media company with a liberal bias.
There should be at least a cursory vetting of the guests being interviewed. The fact that this same person was repeatedly interviewed, on the same subject, dispels any notion that CBS didn't know of her background.

I am a typical victim," Roussos explained. The dark underbelly of the "greatest generation". They were great on foreign policy, without doubt. But domestically, for 50+ years, the WWII generation has consistantly voted for the architects of U.S. socialism.

Just saw a lame parody of Fox News on "The Simpsons" last night. CBS and the rest of the Comintern is beyond parody.

Television news sucks, pure and simple. Even the slimiest of newspapers (the NYTimes comes to mind), will list any political affiliations of an interviewee or commentator in an article. TV's use of rent-a-victims is egregious and on a par with the infamous NBC explode-on-demand Chevy trucks.

"I wasn't a ringer ... I don't get paid [by AARP], I am a volunteer ... I am a typical victim," Roussos explained. "[AARP] give[s] you a title instead of paying you. That's the way it goes," she added. OK .. Fine .. but who paying her to be a volunteer ??

When asked by CNSNews.com whether CBS News should have identified her as a political activist for reasons of fairness and accuracy, Quirion responded: "Well, probably."So they see the problem also, they just are trying to hide it. Unbeliveable!

Not a "victim," but another example of the TV news totally covering up a person's affiliation is the way they covered the woman who started the Million Mom March. On TV, she was portrayed as an ordinary average citizen - when, in fact, she was a former TV news exec turned activist with a moneyed Rolodex and contacts with "machinery" out the wazoo. AFAIK, no TV news operation every accurately described her.

Is this any different than the NYTimes using the same "man on the street" guy for quotes in all of their articles? Why the outrage? [/sarcasm]

Liberal Bias in the Media? Oh come on. That's just another right wing lie.
I know...Eric Alterman told me so! lol
The power of the computer and sites like FreeRepublic will keep these people's feet to the fire.
No longer can they get away with this biased "reporting" because they don't have a monopoly on the news any longer.
Now individuals and groups can have a forum to post their findings without being censored by left leaning jerks called editors like Howell Raines.
These posts are checked and picked up as they are copied and sent to news outlets in droves. Finally, some like Limbaugh or Hannity or Fox News checks it and runs a report (Rush was all over this). The left wing idiots of course call it a "vast right wing conspiracy".
We of course know it's just the truth. And truth and transparency are like the sun and a wooden stake to the left just as accountability is the death knell of government agencies.
Liberalism BS is breaking up like Steve Austin's space capsule. Except there is no technology to rebuild it.
