Unless it stalls for another couple of days and strengthens, this is a storm that the Rio Grande Valley has been needing.
With the Rio Grande River becoming stagnant ponds near the mouth, a gullywasher is a godsend.

Folks in central and North TX coast better watch out.
The NHC has consistently tracked this thing too far to the south.....and the sad thing is, an amateur like me could realize that 2 days ago.
I think their new track is finally adjusted just about far enough north, perhaps even far enough north.
