The Michigan State Police Emergency Support Team was requested at the scene. The suspect fired two shots at the officers when negotiations were attempted, police said. After the negotiations failed, a state police entry team entered the residence where they were met with gunfire, according to police.
Marshall was shot in the gunfire. He was transported to Gerber Hospital in Fremont and airlifted to Spectrum Butterworth Hospital in Grand Rapids where he died during surgery, police said.
Let's not let facts get in the way. And this gem:
SWAT wasn't there when Woodring killed the state patrol officer - what planet are you visiting this time?
Really? This one says he was on the Michigan State Police Emergency Support Team. A SWAT unit by any other name...
Once again, if the SWAT team wasn't there, then how could the Trooper have been there?
