[history]
One of my political rules of thumb: No reform that has any chance of actually working can be approved without squeals of protest from the elite opinion-makers. The converse is true: Anything that moves forward in a bipartisan fashion and is widely admired in the mainstream media is bound to be a disaster.

Ironically, Demorats prefer the Courts, the least democratic branch of government, to the voters, the most democratic branch of government.

The Democrats stopped being democrats with a small "d" long ago.

By the way, I understand a good many RINO's also oppose the recall of Gray Davis. It's the whole establishment, or at least a good deal more than just one party.

Yes they are afraid it may catch on and
what a great way to deal with RINOs-recall them too!

I've been in California for about a month and it's beginning to look like there are several sets of people:
1. Those who have lots of money and want the place all to themselves.
2. Those who have lots of money and just don't care as long as they continue to have lots of money.
3. The middle class, shrinking rapidly, and being dragged into:
4. the working poor and the non-paying poor and illegals.
The illegals are a special case and probably belong a little higher on the food chain as they do not totally pay their own way.
Those at the top of the heap have no comprehension of the travails of those under them. Raise taxes? Sure! "I CAN AFFORD IT! I'VE GOT MORE MONEY THAN GOD!"
Meanwhile, the rest of the workers are not so slowly but ever more surely being pushed into an economic Auschwitz. When enough of that happens, there will be a San Andreas-sized revolt.....I just hope it's sooner and not later.

"We can see the frustration everywhere: frustration at fleeing jobs, higher taxes, unrelenting regulations, mounting budget deficits, crumbling infrastructure and poor public services." Just like all other Communist governments.

Worth a repeat in larger font:
No reform that has any chance of actually working can be approved without squeals of protest from the elite opinion-makers. The converse is true: Anything that moves forward in a bipartisan fashion and is widely admired in the mainstream media is bound to be a disaster.

(Recall Gray Davis and then start on the other Democrats)

Funny thing, I watched "Mr. Smith Goes to Washington" Friday night, and there are a lot of similarities in there. Except now instead of one man leading the charge against power corruption it's nearly the whole state. All you CA FR need to take a minute to take another look at the film. Most of all Never, Never, Ever give up!!

Wrote Steve Lopez in the Los Angeles Times, recounting the actions of a typical recall signer: "The recall supporter had just done what passes for civic duty in California - he had signed a petition. But he had not thought beyond the cheap satisfaction of the act, and so he stood there with his mouth open, looking dumber than ham."But Steve Lopez had not thought beyond the cheap satisfaction of his recounting, and so Lopez stood there with his mouth open, saliva dripping down his chin, looking dumber than a burrito.

You know that you are on the right course when the elite of the lunatic left start screaming and shreiking about what we doing!
Then they start warning us that we are really dumb and doing a dumb thing.
I remember all of the screaming and shreiking before and after Prop 13 was passed from the tax and spend elites at that time. Then they told us how dumb we were.
If we had not passed prop 13 only the elites of California's Fascist Left wingers would be able to own a home in California.
The recall of Herr Davis is a shot across the bow of the other lunatic elites in control of California's legislature. They will be next!
