I'm disappointed in Fox New Channel's reporting on this story. They have mis-quoted the president from his State of the Union address - just as the liberal press and DNC have misquoted him. I expect better from Fox.

I agree with you 100%. When Blair comes here he will explain that the British and MI-5 stand by their intelligence, had more than one source and still believe it to this day. What the White House and Tenet did wrong was not more fully explain to the American people that intelligence that can't be personally verified by the CIA should not make it into a State of the Union address. That doesn't make the intelligence bad. Although there was a forged document, there was other intelligence that verified the uranium purchase attempts by Saddam.

Oh, you are so right. I'll bet Tony has a nice soundbite-quality section defending the WMD intelligence and, hoo boy, wait 'til the Demos and press try to spin THAT.

I agree with your comments on Fox. Is it just me, or are they becoming more CNN-like as time passes? They not only give a lot more time to lefties these days, but the hosts and anchors are sounding more like CNN/ABC/CBS/NBC/PBS than ever.

I sure hope the Wizard is right. I'd like nothing better than to see the dems twisting slowly in the wind on this one. And, I can believe it could happen as Wizard outlines it. I just hope it DOES happen that way. The Dems are meaner than junkyard dogs, and having put their version of the story out there, I worry that many will buy it--must have been a democrat who said, If you tell a lie often enough, it's accepted as the truth. I guess that's what worries me about this fiasco.

I just noticed that you posted this comment two days ago... but I'm going to reply anyway.

Whether the news media likes it or not, the "16 words" did express the truth, and exactly what President Bush meant to say. When I READ those words over MYSELF, rather than let some media flunkie interpret them for me, I immediately NOTICED the way the president made that statement. I'm a bear of somewhat little brain, but I KNEW that meant our US intel had probably not had as much confidence in that statement as the Brits did, but that nevertheless the President elected to include this in his speech because of the tremendous importance of possible concealment of a nuclear program by Hussein.

This tempest in a teapot has been dismissed by me from day one for this reason. He said what he meant, and meant what he said. Case closed.

It would be helpful if more people could learn to listen, to read and think about what they read, wouldn't it?

FOXNEWS is really getting careless lately. The repeat rumors on many issues when simple research would reveal the truth.

I really hate it when one of the hosts opens a discussion thread with a guest with an erroneous supposition.
