MIAMI BEACH, Fla. (AP) - The NAACP opened its 94th annual convention Saturday with a call for the United States to adopt more equitable foreign policies toward African and Caribbean nations.
President Kweisi Mfume criticized the government for neglecting Africa as it suffered from wars, famine and disease.

Gee, did Kweeezee miss the part about the prez's tour in africa? Just more proof that the NAACP is not intrested in solutions. The NAA"l"CP is only interested in "owning" the issue in order to have political gain. If there is a solution then they are out of the race baiting business.

| 50,000 people go to a baseball game, but the game was rained out. A refund is then due. The team is about to mail refunds when the Congressional Democrats stopps them and decrees that they send out refund amounts based on the Democrat National Committee's interpretation of fairness. After all,if the refunds are made based on the price each person paid for the tickets, most of the money would go to the wealthiest ticket holders. That would be unconscionable! |

Didn't they choose the hotel based on the ownership by a minority group? Is that not racism AGAING. So much for content of character and colorblind societies.

These people seriously need to close up shop and find real jobs. Surely ol' Kweizy can find a better gig so that he can keep up his child support payments.

Why? This way he is an "important" leader, the other he is a taxpayer.
Its like the rebels in South America, what would you rather be: a revolutionary or a dirt farmer...

All I have to say is watch "A Time for Killing" and you will see that the NAACP is only in the game for helping themselves they do not care for the common man.

In Krazy Mfume and the NAACP's eyes the democrats can't do any wrong, and Bush and the gop can't do anything right.

"I think its a little ironic that the president will go to Africa to meet with black leaders, but he won't meet with black leaders here in the United States," Mfume said.Bush should NOT meet with the thugs that control many African nations, just as he would not meet with Castro.

God...what a character Mfume is.
Why not point that myopic finger at yourself and the NAACP, you race-baiting demagogue?
Where are all the "black" associations sending people and money to Africa to help their bretheren?
I'm sure there are plenty who have helped, but whining about how government needs to be involved is pure politics.
