Yellowcake, Forged Documents, and Salman Pak

Here's an answer I haven't seen elsewhere to the phony "scandal" regarding Africa, yellowcake, and the forged documents gathered as part of the evidence.

Freepers will recall that when the US advance captured the Salman Pak site during the war, the US forces came under criticism because they did not (because they could not for obvious reasons, its a multi-thousand acre site) fully protect the entire site.

As a result, the Bush critics said, local Iraqis had looted unprotected areas and exposed themselves to radiation poisoning.

Why? How? Here's why -- they found large quantities of plastic tubs filled with -- you guessed it -- yellowcake, which the Iraqis unceremoniously dumped on the ground -- because it was the plastic tubs they were after.

Si if the Iraqis had already, in their possession, large quantities of yellowcake, they question of whether a document disclosing their efforts to get yellowcake is totally irrelevant and moot.

Unless, of couse, your in such a bizarro world of Bush-hate that mere existence of a false document alleging the truth of something that it oh-by-the-way true anyway is a cause for wailing and teeth-gnashing.

Also note that nuclear material was in all likelihood "sought" by Saddam from the South Africans, who had access to more than just yellowcake. Remember the out-of-character, over-the-top statements from Nelson Mandela during the ramp-up to war? I thought then, and think now, that his bluster was hiding a secret. My bet is that the British intelligence know something about what Nelson was up to.

Interesting how the liberals in the media have raised the bar on WMD so high that only the discovery of a functional atomic weapon -- with "WMD" stenciled on its case -- would "rise to the level of 'smoking gun'".

And, even then, they'd screech "Bush planted it..."

I've gotta bump this for ya with another thought...

I'm reviewing my Rush tapes and something occured to me.
We must have this site, Salmon Pak, secured by now.
We know how to get DNA samples from crime scenes very well through our experience.
We have DNA samples of the 9-11 murderers.
When we reveal what we know about Iraq in September, what are the librat, antiwar, bush hating losers going to say when Bush says this sentence...

"We have run DNA samples taken from an old, discarded aircraft in an area called Salman Pak and found that the 9-11 killers trained in this area...On this plane...to do their evil deed."

They're SOOOO screwed!
