Bizarre Game Targets Women: Hunting for Bambi: Parts 1 & 2

Warning: The content and video in this story may be offensive to viewers.

(July 10) -- It's a new form of adult entertainment, and men are paying thousands of dollars to shoot naked women with paint ball guns. They're coming to Las Vegas to do it. This bizarre new sport has captured the attention of people around the world, but Channel 8 Eyewitness News reporter LuAnne Sorrell is the only person who has interviewed the game's founder.

George Evanthes has never been hunting. "Originally I'm from New York. What am I going to hunt? Squirrels? Someone's cats. Someone's dogs? I don't think so," said Evanthes. Now that he's living in Las Vegas , he's finally getting his chance to put on his camouflage, grab a rifle and pull the trigger, but what's in his scope may surprise you. He's not hunting ducks or even deer. He's hunting woman. Naked women.

"I've done this three times," says Nicole, one of the three women allowing themselves to be shot at. "I've done this seven times," says Skyler, another woman participating. "I've done it seven times," says Gidget the third woman.

Hunting for Bambi is the brain child of Michael Burdick. Men pay anywhere from $5000 to $10,000 for the chance to come to the middle of the desert to shoot what they call "Bambi's" with a paint ball gun. Burdick says men have come from as far away as Germany. The men get a video tape of their hunt to take home and show their friends.

Burdick says safety is a concern, but the women are not allowed to wear protective gear -- only tennis shoes. Today while the Eyewitness News cameras were rolling, one woman chose to wear bikini bottoms but normally all they wear is their birthday suits.

Burdick says hunters are told not shoot the women above the chest, but admits not all hunters follow the rules. "The main goal is to be true as true to nature as possible. I don't go deer hunting and see a deer with a football helmet on so I don't want to see one on my girl either," said Burdick.

The paint balls that come out of the guns travel at about 200 miles per hour. Getting hit with one stings even with clothes on, and when they hit bare flesh, they are powerful enough to draw blood.

Evanthes shot one of the women and says, "I got the one with the biggest rack."

Gidget is the one who took the paint ball shot to the rear. She says, "It hurt. It really hurt. I didn't think it was going to be that bad. When asked if she cried she says,"yeah, a little bit."

So why do women agree to strip down and run around the desert dodging paint balls? Nicole says it's good money. "I mean it's $2500 if you don't get hit. You try desperately not to and it's $1000 if you do, said Nicole.

Now both the men and women say this is all good, clean fun, but in Part 2 of this story, reporter LuAnne Sorrell spoke with a psychologist who says for some men playing out this sexual aggression may lead to other more violent acts against women.

One who wants to make $2,500.00 for a mornings work without having to have sex with anyone?

Don't forget....and is also to stupid, uneducated and incompetent to make a real living. That should also qualify for part of the employment ad. Pathetic! Land of opportunity and so many losers subject themselves to this kind of "gutter" work.

Since it's all consensual, no self-respecting ideologue should have any problems when it devolves into the use of real ammo, either.

Sounds reasonable to me.

I am thinking we could do this in CA - hunt the democrats...

I can see it now....Gray Davis, Kevin Shelley, Dianne Feinstein, Barbara Boxer, and Nancy Pelosi all running around with no clothes.

Only a very small percentage of the population has the native inteligence, much less the education, to make $2,500.00 per day.

Just put up a rack of clothes with a sign saying "Big Sale 1/2 Off".

Foul. No fair hunting a baited field. You would have to have the sale several weeks in a row then not do it the day of the hunt.

Good point! Also note the line AFTER the shrink's quote:

"If you're blurring reality and fantasy and you can't make the distinction and you're emotions over power your intellect or your higher mental function, your going to get into trouble, and if you have a control problem to boot, that's really going to cause problems." Problems like beating, raping or even hunting women with a real gun.

Where did that come from? The "journalist"?

Would you approve if it required eating what you shoot?

"First, you'd have to be a bona fide nutburger to want to do this. "

Seems rather tame to me as compared to a bunch of drunk men galking and drooling over naked women dancing on a stage in a dark smutty bar room.

What's the difference?

I like looking at naked woman but never had the desire to shoot a paintball at one.

You ever get hit with a paintball on bare flesh? I can imagine how it would feel on the private bits, even for a woman.

These sickos probably aim for that too.

It's really not easy to understand a good part of humanity.

I've been gang-shot in the butt by paintball players (4 or 5 at once - fully clothed) and couldn't sit down for a week. Needless to say, my curiosity for playing paintball games has never come back!

Like I said...I've been shot in the butt in my only paintball game...I'll take the sex anyday!

"Seems rather tame to me"

I guess you've never been paintballing. I went to one last year with a group and we were all advised to wear pants and a couple of shirts, for impact padding.

When you did get hit, it was startling how much force there was.

By the end of the session, each of us had a set of impact welts that were very noticeable, and the bruises lasted for a couple of weeks. We all said we'd go again, but wearing heavier clothes.

There must be a high turnover rate among the women as they realize how much pain and discomfort this stuff can inflict.

Given a choice, I think I'd rather view naked women onstage.

Men that are really into this must be into abusing women, period.

Reminds me of what went on in Rome, bread and circuses. The excitement of entertainment always wears off, so new and more risque methods have to be found. This one today, what's next? Has to be a little more weird, a little more exciting, a little more dangerous, a little more sexually strange.
It's very sad, and people who say it's harmless aren't seeing the future.

At least even up the odds a little and give the girls loaded
shotguns after some range practice firing at "crotch" silhouettes. Kaboom. Sing a high note for us, castrati.

"I'm no prude, but these guys have "issues."

I think it would be kinda fun save for the pain issue! I just don't think it would be worth the chance of someone getting shot in the eye or some other place which would cause some severe injury!

Maybe someone could come up with a paintsystem that would not hurt, I know it would have much less range and accuracy but hey if I were the shooter I would try to get as close as possible so I could see my target!

Maybe they could use that same system the armed forces uses that sets of buzzers when the target gets shot!

1) This guy isn't the first to do this. There have been a naked woman paintball hunt games overseas. Costa Rica I believe.

2) It is incredibly stupid not to wear at least eye protection when participating in any paintball event. A paintball can take an eye out. At one field the only injury to ever occur happened when someone took their goggles off in the middle of a firefight. he paid for his stupidity by losing 85% of his vision in one eye.
