One more carrier in this class to be built -- USS George Herbert Walker Bush. I hope that naming ships is not automatic, but an honor bestowed upon worthy Americans. I can't imagine any sailor wanting to serve on any ship named for Hillary's HINO (husband in name only).
On the other hand, the U.S.S. Dubya has a certain ring to it!

It's VERY rare for ships to be named after living people. The submarine my husband serves on is one of them, USS Hyman G. Rickover (SSN 709). Admiral Rickover, the submarine's namesake, died about two years after its commissioning.
Only name I would have to disagree with other than naming one after Clinton is the Seawolf class submarine USS Jimmy Carter, which is under construction and is due to hit the open seas within a year or so.

They chose the President Bush as he was the youngest naval aviator to ever serve and fought in WWII.
As long as Republicans are in charge of the Senate, there will never be anything named after Clinton!
