The CIA tried unsuccessfully in early September 2002 to persuade the British government to drop from an official intelligence paper a reference to Iraqi attempts to buy uranium in Africa that President Bush included in his State of the Union address four months later, senior Bush administration officials said yesterday.
"We consulted about the paper and recommended against using that material," a senior administration official familiar with the intelligence program said. The British government rejected the U.S. suggestion, saying it had separate intelligence unavailable to the United States.

It's all going according to the Dems' plans. Notice how the left has no concern for the American people in their campain plans outlined in that article. It's all about their own power.

Bush has beaten the Dims so often at their game of GotchaCould be he found something big, and is sitting on it until he needs it politically. Why not? What's the hurry to report it?
That would be so kewl. It would be hysterical! Let us pray, lol.
To: The G Man
Matter of fact, that is my official prediction. yep!
To: concerned about politics
I'm not so sure, actually. A lot of this stuff doesn't make sense.

I wish they would get to the bottom of this and fast. The liberal media and the Dems are eating this up like candy. I have been lurking in the chat rooms and you can practically swin the puddles of drool! We don't need this right now with our soldiers still in Iraq. If the Dems have their way they will make Iraq into another Vietnam. Bush has to nip this in the bud!

Where is Tenet? I've been asking the question all over this board. Why wouldn't the Bush administration get his explanation right away?
To: YaYa123
This isn't Tenet, or anyone in the CIA. It's the far left of the DNC playing the spin game, like Begala and McAuliffe. They've done it before. Anyone know what Moldea and Flynt have been up to these days?

I wish they would get to the bottom of this and fast. It makes me curious as to why Bush is letting them build their case. He's letting them run with it. I hope he's ready to nail them once they overexpose themselves. Bush knows a lot more than they do about what has been discoved from prisoner information.
To: huck von finn
Tenet has been misquoted by many of the sources which are misquoting other administration officials like Wolfowitz, first the claim that he discounted this or that info when the quote was all twisted up. Ironic for a guy who recognized early on that Clinton's former CIA director, Deutch, and Toricelli, had been damaging in the realm of counterterrorism with their PC demands.
None of these rumors require the intimate knowledge of the CIA director to spread.

None of these rumors require the intimate knowledge of the CIA director to spread. It seems to me it would be imperative to get at least a statement from Tenet now. Yet he's nowhere to be found. ??

............ official familiar with the intelligence program said. The British government rejected the U.S. suggestion, saying it had separate intelligence unavailable to the United States. The 'game' is ongoing!!

Actually, it's a trend in governmental secrecy. People in high places usually don't want their names out. It's not hard to believe that the CIA knew this was an erroneous claim. It doesn't mean that the administration lied...it could be that there is a serious screwup in communications between government and intel. It's happened before.

It reminds me of the woman FBI agent and the terrorist report.

Flash we now have a picture of the unnamed source used by the Compost! Thanks to the creative mind of Doug of CHB and Register's police work. Here it is!

"On the first part of the story
I was looking at all the lies
There were slants and slurs and knocks and zings
There were plants and shills and stings
The first thing I met was a fly with a buzz
And this guy in cheap shades

But the air was full of sound
I've been through the newsroom on a source with no name
It felt good to handed my fame
In the newsroom you can remember your name

He should be returning from his trip to Africa soon. Maybe he will say something or do something when he gets back to Washington. This is getting ridiculous! All the Democreeps have stopped short of asking for impeachment but I am sure they are straining at the bit to say it in their demented minds!

This story is a non starter. The average sheeple out there isn't talking about it, doesn't know anything about it. Its just a story for the media leftists and the Dems to have something to talk about. Amongst real people, the killing of US soldiers has alot more impact then this stuff.

ANOTHER source with NO NAMEI was writing 'bout the desert on a source with no name....
Two points for naming the band.
