I am surprised that Amnesty International made this statement. I figured for sure they would say they were too busy taking care of all the Human Rights violations in the USA to be bothered with Iranians Human Rights violations.

AI has been complaining about rights abuses by the mullahs for years. Of course, the Conservative Press ignores AI so one doesn't hear much unless reading the international press. (The international press likes the mullahs though.)

Another problem is that the mullahs (ok, mullarchy is nice name) have kept the foreign press (of all political leanings) out of Iran.
