Quicksand develops rapidly under these conditions.

The New York Post had a great editorial today written by Col. Ralph Peters (Ret.). I would post a link, but I am technologically challenged. Basically, he proposes dividing Iraq into three seperate nations. One for the Sunnis, one for the Shi'ites, and one for the Kurds. He also wrote that Turkey is no longer a relaible ally and we could use a new Kurdistan for a forward base.

I had an idea back when they were holding out for more money to let us fly over their country. I thought a good idea would have been to TELL them that we were going to fly over and that if they would pay US we wouldn't drop anything along the way....
Probably a bad idea, but it was fun entertaining it.

Interesting, we would get to see what happens when two NATO nations attack each other.
To: ASA Vet
It was absolutely amazing how the French were willing to fight anybody, with the notable exception of the Germans and the Japanese.
