Its straight out of the Twilight Zone. I mean talk about supernatural knowledge. How does man's best friend even know what a hospital is? The beasts are said to lack souls and sentience. Well then how does one explain this? Its eerie.

It's a black lab about seven years old... is it possible it is a retired seeing eye dog or something of the sort? It could easliy explain how the dog new to go to the hospital.

I'm a dog lover. Never met a dog I didn't like or want to keep. At one time I owned 26 dogs. While I'm sorry the dog got hit, this is a happy story to start out my day with. If the vet can't find the dogs owner I hope someone at the hospital will adopt this wonderful creature. BTW, dogs do have souls. I've seen and heard one of my dearly departed.

This sounds like the dog in the Dean Koontz novel. Can't remember the name right now but it his best book, IMO.

Well then how does one explain this? Its eerie. It's not all that eerie. A dog who has gotten medical attention at a vets might connect feeling ill with assistance at such a location.
Couple that with a dog's incredible nose, and the dog may have sniffed out medical supplies, which it connected with assistance and healing in it's mind.
It's not eerie, it's just a pretty intelligent and observant dog.

The only animal that truly DOES have a soul is a dog. No greater friend hath man than his dog.
