...no one believed me that the only brat is a Johnsonville brat I'm from Cincinatti and the only brat is a Braunschweiger brat. Believe it or not, you can get them up here in Massachusettts at Karl's Sausage Kitchen on Rt. 1 north in Saugus, Mass.
Mmmmm...now there's the gates to heaven.

LOL, I smell the brewing of a regional brat war..."Man the sauerkraut! Batten down the buns! Don't fire until you see the wursts in their eyes!"

Much ado about nothing. No one was hurt. Let it go I tend to agree. I can't believe the guy was actually trying to hurt the poor girl; antics with mascots have been going on for years, with occasional incident. It was stupid, but I don't see it as criminal.
Remove the "skinned knees" involved, and it's absolutely hysterical.

Frankly speaking, I never sausage a despicable act. Why....It wasn't Kosher to do something like that.....whacking a sausage....in public. What a wiener. Growing up, I bet he was a real brat.
As far as I'm concerned, this whole thing is a bunch of bologna.

I feel like such a dog. But, that player sure is in a real pickle. I don't relish his situation at all

Well, let's just be glad it was an Italian sausage and not a Mexican jumping bean. Can you imagine the liberal backlash?
But all the silly puns that have come out of this post have made it all worthwhile, in my honest yet selfish opinion.

Beating the meat in front of 30,000 spectators (ok, it was Pirates-Brewers, let's say 10,000). What next?

I don't relish being in his shoes,
he sure was on his wurst behavior,
frankly, acting like a spoiled brat!

LOL, I smell the brewing of a regional brat war... Nahhh....I'm not a sausage snob. I've just never had a Johnsonville brat. No need. My brat needs are well met.

I just want to know how the reporters kept straight faces while talking about this.

Just wondering, but did Simon's slugging percentage go up as a result of this incident?

the woman was qouted as saying "I wish I were an Oscar Meijer weiner. That is what I'd truly like to be.Because if I were an Oscar Meijer weiner nobody would take a swing at me." :-)

I don't know, but ESPN did point out that he entered the game later as an illegal pinch hitter, seeing as how he had already batted once. I wonder if he realizes that this footage will be shown for the rest of his life!

I've given up on Real Video. It causes all kinds of conflicts on my computers, and it's hell getting it uninstalled.
