The young man was just being a red blooded American. Good grief. That's what the politics of freedom is all about. So naturally, the college rats can't stand it.

"You are a young white member of CPCR (Cal Poly College Republicans). To students of color, this may be a collision of experience," Morton said. "The chemistry has racial implications, and you are naive not to acknowledge those."Cornel Morton is Vice-President for Student Affairs.
That's the lesion. No one who could express the above "thoughts" should be Vice-President of anything.
Getting him fired is job #1.

Good for you, Mr. Hinkle. Damn the communist bastards.

Translation: To Blacks the mere presence of a White Republican is inflaming.

He was not charged because of his political affiliation or because some members of our campus community considered the flyers he attempted to post to be offensive.

None of this crap would work if the faculty simply grew a set of cajones: all they have to do is hold minority students to the same classroom standards as everyone else in the required general education courses. Since most minority students have been admitted on affirmative action, they are not prepared at the same level as the other students. If their performance were judged objectively, without grade inlfation, the most obstreperous would probably fail and be rusticated, and those who passed would be kept too busy to bother with political nonsense.

Cal-Poly has lifted a page right out of the "justice" system of the Soviet Union: accuse somebody of a crime they didn't commit, force them into admitting the false charge, make them publicly recant, punish them severely, hold them up as an example for all to see, proclaim their own purity as the protector of The People, then resume the same cycle all over again against more innocent victims.

I can understand why colleges are losing white male students. Kids put up with this crap in high school. They probably think why should they have to voluntarily pay for it in college?
